I like his recommendation of PPF on the front of the car and ceramic coating on the rest. That's exactly what I did. My 2018 Porsche 911 in Florida does not have any bug stains on my STEK PPF after 3 years, really. And while the PPF did get damaged, it was a sacrificial layer that stil protected the paint. But then I wash it right after any long trips during love bug season.
I like wax and whatever I can put on easy by hand!! I will never take a wheel to my cars ever again either!! I burned the paint right off my nissan just watching few paint correction/detailing videos.. Now I have a beautiful Mustang GT, that will never see a wheel on it ever...
And whatever kind of wrap people use and no matter who does the wrap, it always ends up peeling up somewhere on the car within about 6 months to a year.. It's just the way it is.. I would rather choose the color I love and take care of it with waxes and Ceramic polish...
Ceramic is probably the best way to go PPF has a tendency to show bug stains well not bug stains but when the bugs hit the front of your car they etch into the PPF and leave marks on the PPF which do not go away.
If we are to do both ceramic coating and ppf say on the front part of the car, do we: 1) put the coating on the paint, then put the ppf, and then put another coating on the ppf? OR 2) put the ppf, and then apply coating on the ppf?

Ceramic is beneficial but won't stop rock chips like PPF

We normally apply PPF first, then apply Ceramic Coating on the whole vehicle including the PPF.
