So you got res delete with x-pipe and secondary cat delete, right? Haven’t heard that set up in person yet. I personally have the secondary cat delete and it’s great for me.
Agreed! Imho, the secondary cat delete is the best compromise. It keeps the original tone but makes it louder. It’s not as loud as the other mods but it’s really good. ruclips.net/user/shortsVFj9VointTc?feature=share
@@AccentOnCars this truly sounds so amazing. I’m currently down a rabbit hole of different AMG model exhaust setups from this era. I truly don’t know which one I want to get my hands on but this definitely is helping narrow it down 😅
Glad to help. AMG owners can argue about hp or which engine is the best, but one thing we all agree on is that m156 was the best sounding AMG. Check out the c63 or E63 with headers videos I have.
@@AccentOnCarsWhat would you say is the different between Res delete + X-pipe vs Secondary Cat delete? Is Res delete + X-pipe too loud? Like drone inside the cabin?
None of those setups cause drone inside the cabin. X pipe is loud when you push it and revs are at 3k and higher. It sounds great but changes that factory baritone. The secondary cat delete is not as loud as Xpipe, but plenty loud across all RPMs. It doesn’t change the factory AMG tone. It has nice burble too when in Manual you rev to 3k and let off the gas. I have full video for secondary cat delete on my channel.
@@AccentOnCars Hi bro in uk there is a thing called mot check every 12 months basically they check the emissions and safety check to make sure the car is road legal 😤
Bro, secondary cat delete won’t affect emissions in Massachusetts as it doesn’t throw any codes. But in other states they visually inspect the exhaust system for modifications which is crazy.
@@AccentOnCars i know bro all to do with climate change they say 🤬we even have the city tax for older cars coming in next year /and the petrol car ban in 2030 for brand new ones…🤬
I got res delete X-pipe and only 2 upper cats all 3inch tubing to exit on 3.5 inch pipes ..sounds amazing

@@AccentOnCars exactly and I forgot to mention no mufflers either . It pops a lot naturally and sounds very muscle exotic 💪
There’s a smoothness to the stock sound I think is the best but I know it’ll be quiet. Out of the two aftermarket ones, I like the short tubes

Res delete + Xpipe sounds like a mopar but it still sounds amazing.
Agreed. It changes the tone. I have several other exhaust videos. My favorite is long tube headers or secondary cat delete.

Dual H pipes is the way to go
My M273 is catless X-Pipe Dual out
Nice 👍😎
The best exhaust is straight piped with LTh and mufflers only and a H pipe or X . And cams .
IMHO that set up sounds good, but changes the factory AMG tone.
Gotdam
I regret x pipe, it lost the typical amg sound, I think I will put a straight pipe or a h pipe instead
H pipe should smooth it out. Invest in long tube headers and tune if you can spend 💰

🤝 I got a whole playlist about this AMG. Check it out if interested ruclips.net/p/PLj_Gml1f9sdNjAS6Uxf8cd2xssu1rUaOP
Res delete X-pipe
😎💪

@@AccentOnCars Okay got it.
Thank you for the reply
Still unsure which I like more tbh lol
My 500 with H pipe , res delete and C63 w204 mufflers sounds actually better..
Renntech headers!…..from an impartial listener 😂
Very unbiased 😂
Such a shame turning a Mercedes into a fart can.
I would say resonator delete for a 200 bucks! Hate living in the uk anything more would make the car illegal🤬
Oh man. Do they visually check the exhaust for mods over there?
