Edward and Sophie have concentrated on raising their beautiful children, while supporting the Queen, and Royal Family. No nonsense from them …… just a wonderfully wholesome couple!!!!
Edward is the only one of the Queen's children who isn't divorced, and I earnestly pray that it stays that way. He and Sophie are a beautiful couple.

Yes it's so lovely, even suffering the great hardship of living a life of privilege and struggling to live in a palatial residence with staff, with the best food, private education for the children and a choice of royal estates to holiday at they still manage to be happy.

It’s like the Deathly Hollows. The youngest brother asked for the Invisibility Cloak. Edward doesn’t make headlines, grab spotlights, make scandals or cause drama. And because of that he lives a far happier, and likely far longer, life than the rest of his siblings
This is surely a quality that is appreciated by European Monarchs as Edward and Sophie know them all.

He is low key because he's not done feck all. He gibbed out of the marines as the training was too hard for him. He's never been in any of the armed services and people have no interest or respect for this chinless wonder. That's why he has a low profile. He's a non entity.
I've been privileged to meet Edward three times.
A real gentleman and not at all affected by his titles or position.
I remember when his dad was angry, because, being a gentle, and creative soul, he didn't take well to military life. He eventually did nurture his artistic sense via documentaries, then met Sophie later. He and Anne are my favorites.
Then you mis-remember. It turned out that Philip had actually been very supportive of him in his decision to leave the Marines..

Edward and Sophie are real Royals and do a lot of good they do what they believe in and never let anyone down. They don’t do it for attention or public approval. Some people are never happy they talk about people who do bad but if they’re good people they look for things to be wrong can’t have it all

Edward did not get the Duke title because he is expected to receive the title "Duke of Edinburgh" that his father held. It is expected Charles will bestow the title towards him once the funeral processions are finished.

His wife and him are the quiet ones, but has been doing a lot too. There are people here who think he's not doing stuff, that's because you don't know or want to know anything about him.
I can remember watching a interview that Edward made either before or after his wedding and thought how natural and impressive it was.
Sure it was...
He understands obligation and duty, but more importantly, humility and accountability. That's why titles do not mean as much to him as commitment to family, both to the Royals and his wife & children. Good show, old boy for balancing your life and truly sticking to what's important. Much continued happiness to him and his family.

After some pretty unfair press in his youth. Edward has stayed out of the lime light and he and his wife have become valued members of the royal family. They work through independent businesses and for the last few years Edward has acted as our Queens private secretary. He no doubt had a large role in planning and carrying out his mothers funeral. I think he will be of eminence value to his brother, our new King..

Any future King's/Queen's siblings are basically required to live lowkey to an extent, so they don't steal the spotlight. That's one reason why Lady Diana struggled so much with the Royal family. She became considerably popular and well loved, and at times, outshone her husband. Prince Andrew managed that situation very well, atleast until that scandal occured.
He has a great documentary series. Crown and Country. It explores castles and land marks. It's really well done.

Prince Edward came to a debate I was doing at a local all boys school near my all girls school when I was in secondary school. Although he did show up late him and his wife were really encouraging and lovely. ☺️

Edward has kept a low profile for many years,he was ridiculed because he blew out of his Royal Marine training but since then he has done a sterling job and he and Sophie have been amongst the best

His decision to leave army service for the arts was the right one..i watched the "crown and country" series which he presented and it is great. You can tell he felt in the zone narrating the show.
I had the pleasure of meeting Prince Edward at an event at St James's Palace a few years ago. Really nice guy, and more than happy to engage in conversation. Seemed genuinely interested in what people had to say.

It was an Anglo-Saxon kingdom in the south of Great Britain 519-927, at which time it then was subsumed under the one kingdom of England. Several of Thomas Hardy's novels are also set in a fictional country called Wessex. Prince Edward had a few bumps in the road with his production company and Sophie was caught on tape not long after their wedding saying marrying into the royal family is a cash cow for her PR firm. But for the last 20 years they have been keeping things on the DL helping out the Queen and then becoming working royals. Hopefully the HMTK will make Edward the Duke of Edinburgh, he has been in charge of the awards program along with other duties from Prince Philip for quite some time.
Had a few bumps for sure - I was present when he had a 'hissy fit' over another production company's material on royal palaces. He at least knows to keep out of the spotlight...

We rarely hear about The Prince Edward because he is a very decent, modest , self effacing gent , whom , like his sister The Princess Royal, doesn’t feel the need to “shout “ that he is the Monarch’s son. And contrary to popular belief, driven by a snide Press, Edward did complete his course with the Royal Marines and did so with honours. It was thereafter that he decided to withdraw , a decision which his own father The Prince Philip , Duke of Edinburgh , supported and admired as Edward sought to pursue a different line. Unfortunately, The Queen persisted with the mantra “never complain, never explain” , when it was clear that in a world of no respect , certain matters need to be clarified if not sternly refuted .

I am sorry but i beg to differ, Prince Edward did not complete his Royal Marine training, in fact he only completed one third of his course at which time not having made the grade he was invited to resign.
October 1986 - January 1987: Officer Cadet, Royal Marines. He did not complete the course.
He did not passout as a Green Beret Commando and definitely not with honours.
Forgot all about Prince Edward. Wishing him and his family good health.
He *evidently* (from what I have seen or heard---or not seen nor heard) has not been running around the world like his eldest brother almost hysterically opining about 'climate change', and that is to his great credit, and hopefully that will continue, whatever his own personal view on the matter. A non-partisan/political royal is the best type in the contemporary world.
Edward is still married to his original spouse, unlike any of the Queen's other children. King Charles will likely name him Duke of Edinburgh in the near future. It has been reported that Edward's picture was the only one of his children Prince Philip displayed in his office. Whether this might have meant he was his father's favorite is anybody's guess.
I hope he is named soon. Edward can take over his father’s charitable work and provide some continuity.

Its mind blowing to think that Elizabeth II and Bhumibol Adulyadej of Thailand both died on the year of their Platinum Jubilees, one died 3 months after her celebration while the other died 4 months after his celebration.

Admirable member of the Royal Family. They have kept their delightful children out of the limelight and I understand want them to grow up knowing they have to work to pay their way. They could have allowed them to have the Prince and Princess titles they are allowed but keep them in abbeyance for them to decide on when they are 18. It was a joy to see both of them in vigil. I suspect this family must have been much loved by The Queen.
This family is a very modest and close family, they have two lovely children . Sophie has been a close confident of the Queen .

Got my Gold DofE award from Prince Edward. He was very polite, had a good sense of humour and was happy to chat.
Why, he has kept his nose clean not got involved in any silliness and apparently a faithful husband with a faithful wife. He is a perfect example of a Prince to be Proud of.

Prince Philip was very good looking when he was young. Edward looks like his father the most. I don't think Charles was ever good looking. The reason William looks better is because of his mother.
In that hilarious montage from H&M's wedding, when the black preacher was speaking, you could see everyone trying to hold back the laughter and in that short instant of William, you see a 100% clone of Charlotte. Uncanny.

He asked a group of them how they felt about it, bit out of (I suppose) fear of telling the truth and respect for his station in life, they remained silent. That’s when he hit the roof. It was both telling and embarrassing.
