Superb compilation, did consider coming back for that
Blimey, I'd hate to miss out on that! Looks like a little trip west will be in the offing soon :)
Fantastic video !
True there's very little of it, will make the trip sometime soon...
Lovely Shots !
Cheers Sam :) There'll be plenty more coming up. You'd need to be booking well in advance though as they sell out in double quick time.
Cheers Peter glad you like it. Pleasure meeting you too :) I'll check out your vid soon. No doubt we'll meet up again whether it be around here or down in the People's Republic :D
Great video
Thanks m8, the HOBs are leaving tonight, probably for Portlaoise as they're still empty and no loader is in the yard.
Matter of time m8, they're getting scarce now. Just a handful between Thomastown & Waterford. A number of gatekeepers are basicly on a week-to-week contract at present, nice redundancy package at the end of it for them though at least.
It surely has, Waterford still just about clinging on to the old system!
I know it's frustrating m8 :( I checked the circular yesterday & there's no mention of any HOBs movements around Dublin this week. If you were able to get to Kildare you'd have a chance with the odd working between Carlow & Portlaoise.
Cheers m8, glad u liked it :)
Oh right! I didn't think there were any semaphores left over there. Do you know what stations are still mechanically controlled?
Appreciated m8 tks :)
Thanks for watching IB :)
It won't be long before they're gone down here too sadly :(
Nah, was hoping they'd head down my way but to no avail as yet :(
461 looks a tiny bit like a GCR Pom Pom
They'll eventually all be LED, use less power, better visibility in daylight hours & have a much longer lifespan than ordinary bulbs.
A friendly gatekeeper ;)
Ah (embarrassment) - just noticed its got a pony truck lol!
That's right, 461 is a 2-6-0. Other than that they're not too dissimilar in appearance it has to be said.
