Please don't take it as a dig, but the zanders aren't just after spawning, the color would indicate that, in that case the males are guarding the nest and driving out potential intruders, so that bite could be just such a driving out and not an attempt to hunt a prey. Otherwise great videos and goal kick as always.
No worries mate … I don’t take it bad. You know that some of my first thought were that perhaps the males are on the nest. But, I know where they are nesting and they never nested in this spot before … so really I don’t know what to say. Anyhow, after this session I stopped fishing for the zander for 3 weeks and went p Lu for the asp. One of the sessions it’s already online … other two will follow. Thanks mate and cheers 🤘🍻
@@AnEm_Fishing It could change because of water level, but you will see, definitely that color is typical for a guarding nest male zander, but it is possible that they've already spawned and they are returning from nests, which is to be about good period of tons of bites ;)
Can be that mate, even though was quite early for the spawning to be already made. Don’t have any idea … just to avoid any other interference, for a few weeks I haven’t fished that spot. Cheers mate 🤘🍻
can you tell me the name of the silicone and what weight you use it for zander😊
It was. Savage Gear, Cannibal Shad 10cm long and the weight I think it was 15 … maximum 20 grams, not very sure. Cheers man 🍻🤘

Thanks a lot mate. A few years ago, in the same conditions I would go only for the catfish, and perhaps catch at least one. In the last years, because of the poaching, the number of the catfish from the Po river went down, and in my opinion right now the river lost 80% of the catfish that once were there. And yeah, for certain species fishing in the flood it’s good 😉. Cheers mate 🤘🍻
High waters can be very productive. They move the fish certain way...I always liked the higher water situations, especially because majority of fisherman quit then.
Snagged fish do not count. 😛

When dealing with big waters you have to find the right spots …
@@kriglijimmy closer to the bank, in the bays, shallower regions protected from the main flow....and you can find active fish shallow and during the day time. Those are the basics, do not take them as musts, but as mild directions.

the zander are sponding right now....its better not to fish for zander in this time...
completely agree with you mate, not to fish for the zander whilearespawning/nesting. this video was recorded in March, and I didn't knew that they anticipated the spawning so much. looks like in northern italy, they spawn around the second half of march, more or less. cheers mate ...

Why there are no pikes or perches in your rivers?
If you ask me, I think that they just don’t have the right conditions to live and reproduce. So, as predators, we have asp, zander, catfish and lately more chubs. Cheers man 🤘🍻

Mulțam fain. Nu are o adâncime tocmai constanta. La nivelul asta al apei in zona respectiva găsești apa de 9 metri și apa de 1,5 metri. Salutari 👍
