- In this video we take a look at the Simder MIG-250D Multiprocess welder. Simder sent the MIG-250D to me free of charge for the purpose of doing a few videos. As always, my opinions are unbiased and my own.
This machine has some great features, including aluminum welding without a spool gun!

I love the fact that this machine can be a new, or hobbyist welders entry point into Gas MIG/Flux shielded welding. Add in the fact that this machine can grow with you as one progresses in abilities and other materials beyond just steel, this makes it a win/win in my book. In addition, the ability to dabble in lift-TIG and/or Stick is a huge plus and adds versatility for most garage/hobbyist users. Not to mention the cost of entry here that won't break the bank.....
Side note: Great production work on this video release. It shows in the final product.....

Well, I plan on it but my dog chewed up the spool adapter so I am waiting on a new one 😂
Any plans to try using it for aluminum? Nobody seems to have posted any videos on it using aluminum. It'd be great to see how it functions on 110v.

Why can’t you control the wire speed? my work just bought one and I mean it welds but you can’t fine tune it to get that perfect buzz
You can on this machine, especially in manual mode. I just need to get everything set up better
I thought some more about this welder. I was ondering if you had anything more to say about the finish. I know it may seem silly but my shop is outside and I just see that white not lasting long.
The machine itself is great, It hink overall it will hold up ok, it will show dirt though for sure. I have a review coming in the next few weeks that is black. Only real downside is that it requires a spool gun for aluminum, where as this one does not.
