Today is a mixed bag of Daytripper goodness. We're going to check out one of Texas' most interesting caves. Have some close encounters with some interesting wildlife. Throw in a burger, a swim, and a taco, and you got yourself a daytrip. Our first stop is Natural Bridge.

My German grandfather that was born in the late 1800’s used to play and discover in that cave in the early 1900’s. We had a Mother Superior from Chicago in our family and she would visit every couple of years in the 60’s and every time we had to go to natural bridge caverns.

There is a spelunking cave tour at Colorado Bend State park. My husband and I did it. There are several caves to tour. It was alot of fun and yes very dirty...😅

A fact! Every mex.restraunt in san Antonio, the food is all exactly the same!!! Taste and quality! How do they manage to do that?

Ooopss… the prices for the wildlife ranch have gone up… 31.99 for adults and 21.99 for kids.
The Bracken store closed at that location in 2013. And it moved. But closed again in 2017.
I loved the owner. She collected Pearl Beer memorabilia. My wife at the time was named Pearl. I would bring the owner some little Pearl items and she would comp me. I miss her and the fantastic burgers.

Development and surrounding communities are using water faster than what is being replenished over the past 6 years. 2021 was the only year the lake went up due to weather system. Unless demand decreases, it will continue to drop. It is now at a record low.
I miss the Bracken Cafe. It really was the best in the San Antonio area. I almost cried when they closed
Do you have to make reservations to go to Natural Bridge Caverns? I went to Wimberly and you need reservations to swim at the Blue Hole Park and Jacob's Well. Also if you want to eat there, make reservations.
