Thanks for the experience. This video took me back 30 years ago, when I was 10yo slinging a net til the sun came up on the St. Johns in Palatka. We’d fill the coolers up all night long and be cleaning the at the same time. Awesome memories! Thanks again!
I grew up catching shrimp off the bridges in Miami with dip nets at night. It was a big surprise to me to see so many videos on RUclips, where people were using cast nets to get shrimp. This is the best shrimp cast net video I have seen on RUclips and that shrimp Alfredo looks better than what you could get in a restaurant. Very happy to subscribe.
Yeah me too! In Miami, we use to lower a car headlight hooked up to a battery, all the shrimp would swim towards rhe light and we'd scoop them.up with a huge2x4 net. !! Good times
This is amazing!! We were invited to go crabbing last night and there were people catching tons of crab and shrimp! I am so excited to go and get shrimp for us now ,I found your videos and love them. I've been in St. Cloud for 20 years and never knew we could do this lol. Never to old to learn new things. Thanks for sharing you bait tricks :)
I just started seeing your show. Absolutely love it. You are so easy to listen to and love to watch you catch and cook. The food always looks delicious.
Man love your videos, great content and great advice on techniques and the best part, cooking and enjoying the catch! Keep em’ coming Tug Trash, oh yeah it’s Sunday June 15th, 2024 so Happy Father’s Day!
What river is that? Were in Utah totally watching your video's. Thanks bluegabe 😊. Wishing we had those out this way. Be safe and thank you for sharing your fun with us.
Man Ian! I'd have to come to you with my hat in my hand, & my biology degree (including studies in Marine Biology) in my sneakers as a liner! You have more knowledge, just from living there & actually Doing, than most all of my former Professors! You no slouch of a chef either! Honestly, again you would shame most guys I worked with in restaurants! Like to share some tips if I may, though I've a feeling you probably already know most. White Wine, or Good Sherry to finish sautees, chowders, alfredo gives it that special something that makes restaurants almost worth their Money. Alcohol Mostly evaporates, so no worries there. Bourbon is fantastic for any grilled meats, I would think especially great w venison - comes out sweet! (Go figure) Cajun Seasoning is basicly dried Thyme, Paprica, Cayanne, Garlic, Onion, Black Pepper, Bay Leaves, Celery Seed, Salt - & you can play around with Cumin, Corriander, Allspice, Ginger, all kinds of things.... Old Bay, just leave out the Thyme & add Lots of celery salt, & add whole bay leaves so you can fish them out when your done cookin whatever have you. Your cooking is one of the best parts of your vids, & I don't mind saying admitting you taught me a thing or 2 - & I been at it 20+ years!
Im jealous! I grew up on the St. Johns and did all that! Crabbing, shrimping, catching croakers, redfish, yellowmouth trout, speckle trout, flounder, drum, tarpon and yes, catfish! From Lake George to Mayport! Catch'em ip!
Rock salt, must be for driveways.. 🤣 ah oh to be from a warm weather state where your truck doesn’t get blasted by this stuff in the winter snowstorms. Love this shrimping video!!
Hello brother. I have a question, I have seen your videos that are on RUclips. But I would like to know where I can see more of your videos that are not on RUclips anymore. And why I ask this I find your videos so good that I want to see more and especially for your recipes. And of course the fun you have while making the videos. Love your channel very machs. Greetings from Belgium and my Georges.

Love your vedios. I live in Middleburg FL. Can you give more information on where these docks are located? I'd buy a license and take my grandsons shrimping, but I just don't know the spots. Ty great vedios
Hey man gotta question could you do a video on how to throw a cast net. I broke my back a few months back just got approved for light- medium work duty but I work construction so I been going fishing with the girls trying to teach them there 8 n 6 and starting to get into it jade asked for a cast net for her bday. But I can only throw the cast net about 8-10 times before my crappy pancakes start looking like pork chops. I stay in Oceanway northside of jax kids love your videos they want me to build a boat so we can catch nice size fish we ain't had much luck as far as keepers but they love tigers point we always catch something out there . Anyways man love the videos always great to see the kids getting involved. And what kind of set up works best for ya on the poles out towards nassau sound and trout river I usually just use bottom rigs and sometimes lures
Next time I throw a net in a video I’ll try and remember to do an explanation for ya. I usually fish jig heads or knocker rigs on the bottom with fresh dead baits. 🤙🏽
@@TugTrashOutdoors hey thanks for the reply ! The gators might just keep this Ole boy in the north 🤣 good luck on whatever adventure is next and god bless !
Ian, great video and I'm glad you decided to start a channel. Looking forward to more of your adventures. Question, are those Alfalfa pellets, or some other grain type that you used? Thanks
@TugTrashOutdoors what all do you use for your bait balls buddy. I heard you say flour. I never heard of that. I'm just getting into shrimping this year so trying to learn how to make them. I've heard fish meal and clay with water. Does flour do the same thing as the clay would?
My friends and I use to shrimp on the St. Johns, another friend had a horse farm there on the water, this was about 23 years ago. She also had a freezer so all we had to do was run up the hill with the full buckets when they run hot! Came home and shared with everyone....I only had room in my freezer for shrimp though.
Hay, does anyone know what bait this is or what kind of bait to use to catch Shrimp? THANKS So I have a habbit of commenting befor watching videos, simple because I'm not sure if I'd finish the whole video, but you guys are so cute and your wife so cute casting that pancake. 🤩😘😇.GOD BLESS.
Thanks for your family friendly videos. Say hi to your family and friends. Keep up good work. Can't wait to see more. Kim from Colorado.

Yeah I grew up there too in the 60's. We'd catch shrimp from the bridges and crabs that were twice the size of what they typically catch now,

Looks well tasty. Definitely gonna try cooking this for my kids.

What camp ground did you stay at on the fourth that had the cabin on the St. John’s in Palatka
Shell Harbor
Cool video. What state are you shrimping from. Just curious.
Florida
What town was this Airbnb located ? Looks like a great time for the family.
Georgetown
Is there gators on the St. John ?
Minnesota native here an honestly what your doing just looks spectacular!
Some of the biggest in the state. ANY body of water in Florida will have alligators though
