    Thanks for the experience. This video took me back 30 years ago, when I was 10yo slinging a net til the sun came up on the St. Johns in Palatka. We’d fill the coolers up all night long and be cleaning the at the same time. Awesome memories! Thanks again!

    I grew up catching shrimp off the bridges in Miami with dip nets at night. It was a big surprise to me to see so many videos on RUclips, where people were using cast nets to get shrimp. This is the best shrimp cast net video I have seen on RUclips and that shrimp Alfredo looks better than what you could get in a restaurant. Very happy to subscribe.

      Yeah me too! In Miami, we use to lower a car headlight hooked up to a battery, all the shrimp would swim towards rhe light and we'd scoop them.up with a huge2x4 net. !! Good times

    Man Ian! I'd have to come to you with my hat in my hand, & my biology degree (including studies in Marine Biology) in my sneakers as a liner! You have more knowledge, just from living there & actually Doing, than most all of my former Professors! You no slouch of a chef either! Honestly, again you would shame most guys I worked with in restaurants! Like to share some tips if I may, though I've a feeling you probably already know most. White Wine, or Good Sherry to finish sautees, chowders, alfredo gives it that special something that makes restaurants almost worth their Money. Alcohol Mostly evaporates, so no worries there. Bourbon is fantastic for any grilled meats, I would think especially great w venison - comes out sweet! (Go figure) Cajun Seasoning is basicly dried Thyme, Paprica, Cayanne, Garlic, Onion, Black Pepper, Bay Leaves, Celery Seed, Salt - & you can play around with Cumin, Corriander, Allspice, Ginger, all kinds of things.... Old Bay, just leave out the Thyme & add Lots of celery salt, & add whole bay leaves so you can fish them out when your done cookin whatever have you. Your cooking is one of the best parts of your vids, & I don't mind saying admitting you taught me a thing or 2 - & I been at it 20+ years!

    Hey man gotta question could you do a video on how to throw a cast net. I broke my back a few months back just got approved for light- medium work duty but I work construction so I been going fishing with the girls trying to teach them there 8 n 6 and starting to get into it jade asked for a cast net for her bday. But I can only throw the cast net about 8-10 times before my crappy pancakes start looking like pork chops. I stay in Oceanway northside of jax kids love your videos they want me to build a boat so we can catch nice size fish we ain't had much luck as far as keepers but they love tigers point we always catch something out there . Anyways man love the videos always great to see the kids getting involved. And what kind of set up works best for ya on the poles out towards nassau sound and trout river I usually just use bottom rigs and sometimes lures

    • @TugTrashOutdoors
      @TugTrashOutdoors  Год назад

      Next time I throw a net in a video I’ll try and remember to do an explanation for ya. I usually fish jig heads or knocker rigs on the bottom with fresh dead baits. 🤙🏽
