Moral of the video: Setting spray is a makeup essential. ❤
Haha! YES!
YES! I use it (with powder-eyeshadow) as an eyeliner (green, blue or silver on black looks great!). Sometimes I use bronzener as eyeshadow-transition-colour. And what our mommys did: use creamy lipstick as cream-blush.
@@dwin6005 I do that too! No need to buy coloured eyeliner anymore, I have any colour I want in my eyeshadow pallets 😁❤
Amen!!! 💄🤩💋
Adding powder to the lashes works even better than concealer
I've done that for years! It really does work! I found a powder with little tiny fibers in it, it was by ....... essence, I think. Anyway it was a tiny little pot of white powder, like I said with little fibers in it. I would put on my eye lash primer, then the powder, then another coat of the powder then my mascara. I went through alot of steps for my lashes. Lol. I had an actual lash routine. I use to NEVER wear false lashes, but everyone thought my lashes were false lashes! But I had ran out of that powder, so I used a corn starch baby powder on my lashes, worked just as good! I've also tired a loose setting powder, and even eyeshadow! .... unfortunately I did end up trying and finally figured out how to wear false lashes, and fell in love with false lashes. But it has RUINED my natural lashes! So I only wear false lashes now. Even using the primer and powder don't work on my poor tiny lashes now. But I look back at pictures at my lashes, and I had such good lashes! And then doing my lash routine I really had some good lashes! I regret ever using false lashes..... sorry! I've rambled and took enough of your time. But YES powder absolutely works great on lashes!! A lash primer, then a powder even better! I've never tried concealer. But I wear false lashes almost every day now..... God bless.
That's what I've done since HS
I been doing that for years.. and concealer on eyebrows too
Yep, I've been doing this for years as well! Acts like a thickener, or a primer. Makes a difference.
@@heathermullins3620 Powdered lashes also holds the curl longer.
Some eyeshadows make really nice blushes & some blushes or bronzers make really nice eyeshadows too!
OMGoodness with your hair like that, and those feathery lashes you look like a mermaid 🧜♀️ queen!
Indeed 😍😍
True 🤩🤩🤩
Concealer and setting spray under the eye for us more mature women is the best make-up tip ever! I do the same trick for my sun/hormonal spots & darker pigmentation problem areas after applying foundation to really cover those darker areas. Concealer + setting spray = magic!
Thanks for this tip!
Yayyyy!!! Thank you!!! I'm 55 and really struggle with my under eyes!!!
Thank you for the tip of using that on age spots/melasma! I’ve been trying many tips and tricks to try and get the coverage to stay past 2 hours!!!!!
What is a good concealer and spray
@@joannajamerson35 For my more mature skin I’ve found that make up revolution conceal & define or catrice liquid camouflage (both drugstore!) and colourpop pretty fresh hyaluronic acid or pixi hydrating milky mist (also with hyaluronic acid) work the best for age spots/melisma and under eye. Doesn’t settle in wrinkles and lasts all day. :)
I like making a nice "brow stain" by using setting spray on a slanted brow brush, then dipping into a brow matching shadow. 💙
Amazing! Thank you for sharing that!
@@Zabrena 😘
Another way to clean the eyeliner wing is using Micelar water with a concealer brush !
I would love to see you and Emilynoel do a video together. I think it would be a fantastic video !!!!!
I don't use concealer over my lipstick to lighten it because it's drying and becomes a strange texture the longer you wear it. I always have Mac Myth in my makeup bag to lighten any lipsticks that don't quite suit me. I'm sure there are also a billion drugstore dupes for Myth that are more affordable.
That's what I traditionally have used Myth for too, ha! Or as a highlight in the center of the lips :)
Setting spray with blush is 👌. I had to pause the video to try it out and it worked PHENOMENALLY! Can’t wait to use it again tomorrow with another colour 👍
Whooo hooo!!
Look at that angelic hair!!
I love the powder to cream blush tip. 🦋
Mix a cc or bb cream with a little higher cover foundation and it extends its wear time without totally changing the formula-For instance: I put just a dot of the L’Oréal Infallible in with my Purito CC cream and it lasts all day❣️
Weekend blessings to you and yours 🙏🏼
Great advice! I also need to put my too pink foundation in with my Missha BB which has a gray tint that cancels out the pink and makes everything a neutral tone and a perfect match with lasting power!
Ester Lauder double wear is a good one to mix with something with for all day coverage. It also mixes well with a couple of drops of advanced night repair.
Girl!!! That setting spray tip tip to set concealer is JUST what I needed. I did not want to have to pay for a powder, and still have a ton of that hardcore bridal setting spray tip use up. My concealer won't budge! Thank you for these fun tips! My best tips are that I now use my freebie sparkly bronzers and eyeshadows to make my arms, shoulders and decolletage shine!
YES!!! Awesome! I love those tips, too! Hope you've been doing well! It's always so nice to see you :)
What brand is your hard-core bridal setting spray?

@@lockergr thank you, friend! 😊
Another great tip for wings that I have been doing for almost 2 decades now is use a smaller wet Q-Tip. I never do my base first before I do my eye makeup so I can clean up any fallout and make my wings look nicer. I’ve tried the concealer trick and for me it’s just too high of maintenance.
Just wanted to say you're rocking a mermaid look in this video! You're giving me grown up Ariel vibes with that wavy red hair ❤️
Great video! I especially love the wetting powder blush hack.
Earlier this week, I learned you can sandwich eyeshadow between two clear layers of nail polish. The more opaque the shade, the better, and it is extra zingy to use shimmer shadows. What a great way to use up eyeshadow shades you love but would never wear on your eyes! Every time my nail polish is discontinued, I go crazy trying to dupe it. This should be much easier.
A satin finish light peach flesh tone eyeshadow serves as a nice eye brightener for when you have dark circles.
I sometimes use a low-pigment orange eyeshadow as a 2-in-1 powder and colour corrector to set my concealer in my under eye circles and on hyperpigmentation spots.
I use a foundation-stick with warm-toned darker colour as my own skincolour as a colour-corrector. After that I use my normal skincolour (liquid, not stick) foundation.
You can scrap out the blush and mix it with Vaseline and you get a diy cream blush.
A couple of ideas I got from Rebecca Spera's former show Mirror Mirror involved using clear drying eye shadow primer in a squeeze tube. The first was mixing most any shadow formula with some primer in a little pot container to use as eyeliner. The second was mixing the previously mentioned primer with concealer and foundation to create a skin toned nude eye shadow, for a no makeup makeup look. The primer keeps the concealer from sliding into the creases as the day wears on, which is a godsend for those like me with oily lids even in winter. I also keep all sponge tip applicators from pressed eyeshadow compacts. The sponges are perfect for blurring lipliner onto the lips, creating a allover stain of color--then topping with gloss or balm or anything else you want to use.
If you wear glasses that rubs off your foundation or find foundation won't stick to your nose well, a tacky clear eye primer is amazing. Also keeps any brow pencil or powder on longer too.
I am 59, and I have to admit I invested in the Hourglass Translucent Veil powder recently for my undereyes. I only apply tiny amount over the Elf Hydrating concealer and it looks amazing!
52 here and I may have to try it. I've been told that Elf Halo Glow powder is a dupe for that and I do have that one. I might just try it first.
@@redneckgirl3326 I just bought the mini @ $20. I use so little of it that it will last me a while, and I don't wear makeup everyday. I own the Elf Halo Glow powder, and use it on the rest of my face. But the HG is just amazing under my eyes... and I use a very small amount!
@@Patti-1962 Thank you. I will try that.
@@redneckgirl3326 I also only use foundation under my eyes unless I REALLY need concealer!
I agree I'm 63 it is Amazing but a lil expensive but worth every dime
Thank you for the under eye tip for over 40! That will so help me. Have a blessed weekend ❤️!
Yay! You too, hun!
Glitter glue as a primer in your very oily areas that always separate (my nose and where my glasses sit).
loved the maskara hack
WOOHOO. I CANT WAIT FOR THE WATER PROOF VIDEO. YOU GO THREW ALL PRODUCTS SO THRALL. AND YOYR TIP TUTORIALS ARE ON TOP EVERYTIME. LOVE YA Z
You look so beautiful. Your eyes just pop. Beautiful!!!!
Yes! So gorgeous 😅
Those are great tips Zabrena. You'd think at 63 i would have thought of all those by now. It just shows we are never to old to learn!
I’m 64 and I learned a lot here! Thank you Zabrena!!!
Ha! Amen, girlfriend! Some things I learn now and I think "why didn't I think of that years ago?!"
I like taking those pointy ended q-tips, dipping it in micellar water, and using it to clean up/crisp up my winged liner, but now I want to try the concealer trick!
You look soooo slim!!! Loving your hair and makeup in this video!
In a pinch, u can use mascara as an eyeliner. I took a liner brush and dipped into a mascara tube and it worked perfectly
I’m mesmerised by these false lashes.
Matt lipstick makes a great blush. Thin film of long-last lipcolor on eyelids makes eyeshadow last forever (put on shadow while lipcolor is still wet).
Great tips Zabrena💕 when I have a lipstick that is too dark or bright, I put a small amount in the center of my bottom lip and upper lip. Then I just blend with my finger and it works really well for those bolder colors that I don’t want to be so bold at least for the day.
Your clips make me happy and I feel so comforted after every single time. My soul seems to really love the way you express your self ☺️ I'm so grateful for you 🍀✨💕
Aw! Thank you for your kind words! I'm blessed to know you! :)
aw you named the lashes after your little girl...🥺 such a good mommy 😘 how sweet
My favorite trick to do with glitter is take some lash glue and lightly tap a super thin layer wherever i want the glitter to stay with my finger. (Less is more) I then tap on the glitter over top. Its perfect because it keeps chunky glitter from traveling or falling in your eyes and then it also makes it so easy to remove it all. Old colorguard trick from marching band lol
Can’t wait for the waterproof videos!!! Thanks for all the time and hard work you’re putting into them 💕 Love you!
The blush hack is genius 🤷🏼♀️
Thanks fir the tips and tricks.
I use the little puffs to get product out of hair for foundation or bronzer
A tip I use often is to use eye primer on the face to keep the makeup in place - especially under the eye ( I have REALLY deep dark eye sockets ) and on my nose, because that’s where the makeup wears off first...
Do you just put it on when you put primer on the rest of your face? Any specific brand? I'm having this exact problem and this could be my answer......Yay!!! ❤ Thank You❤
@@AnnieBoBannie421 yeah I do - I actually combine it with a tip zabrena has tried before - using powder under primer - and I ‘spot prime’ - so I use different primers on different spots on the face depending on skins needs...
I’m pretty happy with the Milani primer, but any matte skin toned or clear primer you like should work...
I use a TINY amount and tap it on to the nose to keep the layer really thin and skinlike.... kinda like a really thin consealer layer ;)
Under my eyes I use it to help keep the layers from caking - it sounds weird but it works....
staring with a gel based eye cream, then a fine setting powder, then a thiiiin layer of eyeprimer, let dry then corrector, and finally I use a tiny bit of consealer - I can get away with using the maybelline age rewind corrector as my consealer because of my skin tone, but for a more ‘finished’ look I use a very light consealer with a tiny amount on the inner corner of the eye...
focusing it on the deep crease under my eye ;)
@@AnnieBoBannie421 I use revolutions conceal and define and no need for corrector. Make sure the eye area is well hydrated and set with tiny bit of no7 powder and it doesn't crease or settle. Cheap as chips too!
@@sabinahertzum9728 thank you so much....Ill try this asap!! ❤❤ I had almost given up!!
@@bluecurlygirl oh....I think I have that powder!! I've heard lots about the Conceal & Define that have been good!! Thank you for helping me, I had almost given up and I love make up ❤❤Thanks ❤❤
Good morning! Thank you for such helpful tips! They were so helpful, please make another one! 💐
Whatever you had done, looks amazing.
I have a slightly different use for silicone makeup applicators - I use them as a pallette! I can mix foundation, mix two lip colors, mess with all sorts of stuff and it's not left on the back of my hand! I am also lazy about cleaning my brushes so I get color/makeup off using a makeup wipe as I go, then dry them on my color-changer/brush cleaner.
I can't wait to try these! Especially the setting spray under the eyes!!🤯🤯🤯
Love the tip on using a powder blush and setting spray to create your own cream blush, genius!!
Using setting spray under my 54 year old eyes to set my concealer i first saw @mrsmelissam do. Your tip of using setting spray on a brush, instead of spraying it all over, is my favorite tip of all time. I now only have to use 1/4 the amount to set my whole face, and I go through setting spray a LOT less!!!!💜
I love using a brown gel eyeliner to tight-line my upper lash line but because I use brown, I can then use the same gel liner and tiny slant edge brush for my eyebrows!! 💖
Great tip!
You are such a ray of sunshine
So glad you do videos with tips like these! Frugal Fridays are such fun! Have a blessed weekend with your precious family!
I’ve been looking for a way to use up my Rimmel matte spray ( I have really dry skin) and I love these ideas ❣️💜💜💜
Thank you for the tips!
More great tips💖💖💖Thank you Z🌺🌺🌺
Yea waterproof videos. I have 2 beach trips this summer so I need those!
The coolest makeup multitasking trick that I came up with: matte liquid lipstick as cream eyeshadow. I have never heard anybody talk about this, but I swear it works for me. For a really long time, I wasn't able to find a matte bright red eyeshadow at my local drugstore, so I came up with this trick until I finally found the eyeshadow I was looking for. All I do is pick up some lipstick on a brush with short, dense bristles, then blend it on my eyelids, the way you'd do with a regular cream shadow. And I'm guessing that there aren't a lot of people looking for a bright red eye, but you could try this trick with a softer shade of lipstick, like a nude or peach, or with shades like purple and brown, which work on the eyes as well as on the lips. Granted, I have only ever tried the method with one lipstick, the outcome may differ depending on what lipstick you use, but, in theory, it should work.
AWESOME! Thanks for sharing this, Diana!
Have you checked the channel “Picturresque”. The super talented girl who runs it often uses liquid lipstick as a base or a shadow and makes some amazing duo chrome eyes with a liquid lipstick + shadow. It’s seriously good
@@Vee_of_the_Weald never heard of her channel before, but I looked it up and the looks she creates are amazing; thanks for the suggestion
