would recomend to throw a fire resistence pot in there, it helps a lot tbh, the Dot does fire damage not holy damage so fire res pot negates most of it
Just did this boss solo using 100% scholar blood, holy resistance, fire resistance, the 2 damage buff brews and the 2 previous soul shards. It was also a blood moon.
Call it overkill, but the boss went down without issue, and I knew what to expect thanks to your explanation of the mechanics
fun fact that after the fallen angel spawns you can leave the arena to heal to full because the angel will keep solarus from resetting

Nope, currently been doing this fight and it doesnt work.
well i will try to do it again when i can but the server i was playing on is labeled "dead" on battlemetrics so i dont know if its ever coming back

the healing cap is what hurts long fights the most.
The angel truly is the hardest part of the fight, especially pre-Solarus Bubble since you simply cannot kill her fully.
Also, if you replace Chaos Volley with any barrier [especially the Ward of the Damned], then you pretty much nullify any projectile from Solarus and the Angel, along with spawning a bunch of skelletons to do some extra damage and some extra aggro.
And here I am, currently at day 2 and thought that Octavian guy is so hard and then Demone uploaded this. This game has a lot of suprises!
I found that having the set that does spell lich as well as 100% scholar blood if you use the barrrier that shoots back projectiles it can do quite a bit to heal you during the fight , specially if you time it when he charges.
Face rolled myself a billion times trying to do a shield/melee build. Switched to minion build and one shotted. I was trying to figure out how it suddenly became dark souls lol. Thanks for the vid
that fight got so much harder in 1.0 on brutal. its insane. also each hit you take is at least 80-100 dmg his charge or the charge of the angel is 300, the saw blades are 250 o.O its insane
Finally managed to solo solarus using 100% Brute, Reaper/Crossbow. PVE server with x2 V blood boss damage multiplier and V blood boss HP. That angel is the most annoying part… I find gorecrusher much difficult
Solarus is easier in terms that he has a LOT of windows to attack, and the stay in place a lot too, so the reaper really shines here. I use the unholly shield to share the aggro on the skeletons. Hard time dodging and dealing with the angel tho.
The hardest for me was the Gorecrusher... I was having a hard time, then the game had pitty on me. When he summoned for the first time, was THREE WOLVES AND THREE BEARS. I was like "WTF bro, calm down", struggled a lot to deal with them, just to realize... the boss itself was stopped. Its AI stopped, then I was able to finish him off. What a relief lol

@@luizfelipeduarte8752 Somebody was probably in combat with the boss watching you, it's happened to me before. I was with a friend killing this boss, and on the final set of adds he spawned an extra bear and wolf. Turns out there was a solo player in rat form just watching us, but it made the boss harder and spawned more adds. Kind of a scumbag move to be honest. We killed it anyways though.
@@ralphdonigan1 makes sense. But, as I said to @Memorize, I play in a private server, all alone.
I think it was a bug, even the boss bugged after.
@@luizfelipeduarte8752 Gotcha, yeah the game is still new so unfortunately there will be some bugs. At least they're actively fixing them as they can!
I was so tensed fighting this Boss that I got through the whole fight and killed him without using my ultimate even once LMAO. Thank you for this video, really helped a lot to understand the Boss' skill pattern.
I did this guy with Sanguine Axe, 92% Brute on a bloodmoon. Purple Pendant, Power Surge then mash him with the insane Axe attack speed, you'll steal health way faster than getting damage + the Veil of frost shield you'll quickly dispatch him on first phase. The second phase you may want to kite him with range attacks.
Thanks mah boy Demone, this will be very helpful as I some day try him again. I fought him with exactly the build you had (well except a different ult I actually used) and didn't even reach fallen angel part as I didn't realize how the shield stage worked. Used 100% scholar blood even! No buff pots tho, gotta do that for next time.

important bit, if you havent figured out you can disengage this fight and heal up to using pots to avoid losing your high end blood if you messed up and took too much damage

This fight is so annoying on brutal mode without soul shards to help. :)
I'm currently trying to do this fight on Brutal with a 0.5 multiplier to dmg. XD
I really hope the team who made V Rising keep adding incredible boss fights like this in the future, coz it's truly a blast to play them, even though it's frustrating, its the good kind of frustrating in my opinion because it's not a balance issue, it's a skill check and it's entirely on the player to play well.
congratz! if you still have a hard time on that one, i would recommend to to do the behemoth boss first, his shard gives you an extra holy resistent buff, after that his dmg abilities hit like for 6 dmg, also sunresistent potion helps if you get hit by his dash missiles, mostly you will resist those then! happy hunting!
You only get that if you are one of the first to beat the boss on the server.

Finally killed the boss! Unfortunately I had misunderstood one quite critical thing that you hint about a little bit - don't damage the angel as a primary target when it first appears! After countless failed attempts luckily I saw it said plainly in another vid and got the boss down first try after that. It was so crazy the number of times I got both of them down low and they just shielded, before I learned that...
I will never be able to solo this dude hahaha. Great video. I'll just bring 3 buddies with me to finish him off.
I highly recommend taking the chaos shield instead of the two bolts, you can safely face tank the mechanics with that and it will even do more damage. Also i would say Solarus is the hardest :D I have killed him first as you adviced, but then i went to the other two and smashed them in one try.
Idk how people say Solarus is the hardest when the big fist boy has some ridiculously wide AoE and some criminally accurate moves.
The Winged Terror is super easy though.
If you look at the blood altar solarus is recommended to be done last as per order, so yeah he is supposed to be the final one you face out of the three. It makes sense cause killing him finishes the questline.
@@AzureRoxe Yea for me behemoth was the hardest.
Easiest one for me was the Behemoth, then the manticore, then Solarus. I got the first 2 on lvl 73, tho I had blood moon and 100% brute blood. For Solarus I struggled for a long while even on lvl 81 and with the other 2 spikes buffs, until I started using shields.
I just did Solarus last because he's kinda the last boss, and that's it. Like the leader of the paladins, the main antagonist. I couldn't bring myself to do it before the others.
@@mendiganina6001 for people who play any bullet hell types like realm of the mad god, solaras is insanely easy because we are usedto keeping track of insane amounts of projectiles spray, also his projectiles are hyper counter intuitive so once you figure out what it actualy does and manage to fight you instinct on how to dodge it to doge it correctly it is very easy

Hey Kim! Thanks for the great vid. Had to come here after our fight apparently bugged out and didnt spawn an Angel, meaning no way to break his shield. Also we kept getting ganked on the fight, but thats part of the game eh?

having scholar 100% blood type made this fight a piece of cake and the only part i was struggling was the angel phase until i saw this vide i didnt have to focus her at first that made this fight a lot easier
Wish there was more to do at max level, got 84 on a PVE server, got all the recipes and all 3 soulshards, loved this game and hope more content is released soon.
same, 50 hours in and theres nothing more to do, kinda sad, even on a pvp server cuz theres no one enforcing rules you just have people teaming all over
Loved the game but im tapping out, im lvl 75 trying to get the neck upgrade 8 gold ingot its just too much for me
@@ayasolaris4971 if youre solo its kinda hard yea I agree, as a 3 man on a 6 man server we had quite fast paced progression, did you play pvp? think some pvp kills speeded things up a bit
@@FlexinOG Na im playing with a friend on a PvE server. Thing is we're fighting endgame bosses and dying a bunch so we need to farm to just to repair gear.
We also need more schematics to unlock full Bloodmoon gear which is all rng :<

@@ayasolaris4971 Best place to farm for Gold jewelry is Brighthaven on the west side of silver light. As long as you can fight 60-70 lvl mobs, every "light" based elite mob drops a gold jewelry. Also when you're there, just break literally every box/container as they can drop everything except the mats you get from undead.
You can spawn a ton of skeletons from this holy attack if you do it correctly ^^

i had a glitch there my screen went black.... i had boss down to 1/10 hp....

run chaos shield and when he does the heart attack block em all and use scholar blood as health regen so it counts as spell dmg
Gorecrusher is a great warm up for this fight.
Soul shard of the behemoth gives 50 holy resist if you get that one first btw
What are the other 2 raid bosses? The ones that drop soul shards?

I've experienced something during his phase 2 where you get him low to do his shield and heal for some reason after beating the angel before he get to max health and it turn into a fallen angel. It will remove the shield on him during his heal phase and you can actually damage him without him doing anything else beside the healing and light beam lol. So basically I skipped phase 3 for some reason
If this is not patched then its huge

haven''t killed him and he has killed me already more than 5 times.... haahah. This Divine Angel is on my like I have honey in my pockets that she wants. Everytime, it is just crazy. 96% Scholar blood, all the potions and still not able to do it. At this moment I am done trying. Maybe some other day.
Came here to see what strat you used, but you just went in :) I btw switch between reaper and Bow. Dont want to get close to him and dodging his ability is more easy if I stand more away from him. But I find this boss very very annoying. To the point I am done. (or because I find out that I am just not good enough :P )
It felt different for me, the flying horror was the easiest then behemoth and solarus was the hardest. I used purgatory, power surge, and the illusion ult(not the golem 1, the other 1 as It makes u invincible for its duration), i used rogues blood and chaos dash, u get to like 46% crit chance and 100% crit chance on the first hit after each dash.
Yep, for me too. Flying Horror I killed first try with 50% HP left. Was still a bit hard, but not harder compared to some bosses before.
Behemoth I needed 3 tries. The spectral version of the boss rekt me the first 2 tries. Last try i survived with 10% and phew.. I was stressed the whole phase with the spectral copy.
But Solarus.. even when I beat him too the 3. try, he was the hardest boss for me and super fun. And I use chaos bolts, the blood shield and the spectral golem ultimate, so I can tank some mechanics and make some dmg.

@@borges3099 I can see that, but I would say in that case the "arena" is the difficulty thing, not Frostmaw. In a more open area Im sure Frostmaw isnt that hard
@@x-Phire maybe. Thing is with frostmaw he doesn't have much hp but he attacks so fast. Hard to dodge his stuff even with barrier + chaos dodge. However behemoth for me was easy. Really telegraphed and there's a way to prevent him from spawning the spectre behemoth. Did it in 2 tries first try I died with him at 3% hp cause I messed up and got caught in between him and the spectre and got globaled almost lol. 2nd try was easy. Solarus is by far the hardest boss. Finally finished it after attempt number 6 or 7, but I used 93% rogue blood and not scholar cause I couldn't find good scholar above 80% in 3 hrs. Rogue blood did good though because of the 21% CD reduction on dodge. Didn't have leech so I was pounding a lot of potions and swapping purgatory and barrier around mid fight, hectic but scholar blood is probably better for it. Didn't have fire potion either so I handicapped myself a lot. Winged horror I did 1st attempt easy as shit. Just a lot of burn aoe.
@@x-Phire by the way, when he's summoning the spectral behemoth, you can stop him from spawning it. I'm not sure if it's damage done or killing a certain numbers of those green orbs but what I did was when he started summoning I went to range then hit him with axe E then crossbow Q and it stopped the summon twice. Reaper E can be replaced with axe if preferred I think. Axes have good mobility though. Axe Q is vital to dodge behemoth while dash is on cd

ahh... how about using ice shield for his second phase instead.. would be even better if you could position yourself at his side when he dashes to absorb his attack into your ice shield for more reflective damage... instead what I did is in second phase when he is about to spam mass those orbs was to dash into his face pull out the ice shield and watch him go into his defensive form, for extra damage you could use ball of lightining + crossbow Q into gun for mid range abuse

Using counters ruins this boss. I used the skeleton block and if you stand on him while he summons orbs you just immediately get like 20 skeletons lol. Chaos orb didn't seem to proc correctly
Slashers, 92% scholar blood, chaos orb, chaos barrier. One shot. Gorecrusher was much much harder than Solarus. Winged Horror was a joke.
Yeah, solo'ed Solarus, and Winged Horror 1 shot kills. Gorecrusher man.... that guy wrecked me so many times, and I'm not one to nerd rage, but he damned near got me there.
I think gorecrusher is easier. Did it the first time Solarus has me stuck but I am duoing it
can the spread shots be blocked by guard skills?

I make/made all bosses with the same spells, because I got used to the skills too much.
Chaos bolts, the blood shield I dont member the name of and this spectral golem that shield you and tank the enemies for some seconds.
And weapons I switch between scythe, sword and dagger. Oh and I use rogue 100% blood all the time, for all bosses. And If needed, I use all 4 dmg potions, so its +12 dmg and +12 spelldmg
There is plenty of optimizations you can do for this fight. I wish I could make a video but I'm too lazy, this boss is very easy once you know what to do and if you come prepared.

Sure just dodge, almost like there isn't 3000 aoe effects and an angel that won't leave me alone
Only mistake I can see is you don’t use you ultimate, could of got at least 2 casts in this fight. great tips otherwise.
I disagree with the difficulty assessment. this fight is EASILY the hardest of all three of them. even with maxed out stats 100% rogue blood and both soul shards from the other two bosses and bloodmoon i still cannot deal with this overpowered invincible healing that both of these guys get. i should be reducing holy damage by over 75% but i still cant kill either of these two because of all of their healing and invincibility. the other two endgame bosses were much much much easier than this
I think he's the easiest out of the 3. gorecrusher is the worst imo.
@@Karma-Code gorecrusher is super easy. crossbow ,axes, purgatory, chaos volley, chaos dash. When he spawns spectrals, just kill the adds, then if he tries and spawns the big spectral behemoth, E axe then Q crossbow on him and he won't summon it.
Winged horror is super easy compared to this and Behemoth.
I was really enjoying this game up until these endgame bossfights. What was the point of playing and practicing with a mix of melee & mahic the entire game time only to be forced to ranged magic and have to constantly heal because of bullshit attack. The trading invincibility is also extremely lame. This game felt more tactical at rhe beginning and middle of the game, bht these endgame bossfights are horrible and not fun

You're clearly not an Elden Ring player because one of those guys would rejoice to have a boss that combines the most annoying mechanics of Morgott and the Elden Beast into a single fight.
You are playing on easy. This guy on normal is level 86.
