The model is amazing ! 😀 Seriously, I have only made it through the first 20 seconds and must stop to commend you for the this exceptional quality. Thank you Irene. And this eye catching thumbnail 👏👏.
Thanks for always sharing your BTS and process. Another great alternative to the full mylar roll would be those emergency survival blankets. Those are also made of mylar.
I really love the 'femme fatale' attitude with the pink / azure / stars socks! 😄 Nicely done Irene and you've got a big advantage living the perception of both the model and the photographer. Love your videos.
The effect looks really good. And you look absolutely amazing. Great job Irene. I use mirrors sometimes to do an effect kinda like that. Take a old shattered mirror and glue it onto a piece of wood so it reflects but also has bare spots in between the pieces. Also don't glue it all level. So the beams the glass reflects dance around.
Irene, what a fantastic tutorial. I have used mylar in the past, but this technique is creative, does create a water reflection and unique. Thank you for the video and your past videos.
What works so well in this photoshoot, as both the model and the photographer, you had the best of all worlds in your favor. You know how you wanted to present yourself, so the make-up, and dress was your own best looks, and you had the remote software to take the photos with. We used mylar in music videos and photographs way back in the old days to create some wild effects in the mid 70's. Outstanding work, and the self-portrait end results look amazing.
A talented photographer who knows her lighting, who is also a gifted and stunning model. Not many you tube content creators out there can say that! (the only other one I know of is Chelsea from Tony and Chelsea Northrup). Irene, you look marvellous!
How cool is that? I just purchased a 10 pack of Mylar emergency blankets & a silver plastic table cloth from the dollar store just before Christmas with this sort of thing in mind. And here's your 'tutorial' on how I can do it! Perfect timing!
This video was fabulous and those images are just gorgeous, you look amazing and the technique is fascinating. A bit beyond my skills just yet (and equipment) but I love the effect.
I’ve gotten into self portraiture and I’m working on putting together a lighting setup that I can have fun with. Thank you for the incredible video!! I needed this!!!!
I shoot all self portraits- I recommend the nanlite - it’s continuos so it makes it easier for self shooting - has a projector too so you can use gobos:) which is so fun
I like the hair blown look. Would love to have seen this with the slicked back wet hair look too and one of those colt 45 reflectors on the light for a spot effect. Love seeing you testing new boundaries in how you are showing off that fantastic body!
As one who mostly shoots self portraits for fun, I understand and appreciate all the thought and effort that goes into these. These came out beautiful…well done! Thank for sharing…may give this a try😊
Adding the blue gel was my fav. Mylar is plastic covered in aluminum metal kind of like snack bags but a little bit more tear resistance slightly stronger closer to a reflective balloon. Try an emergency blanket for a cheaper solution in the US, look for the silver emergency blankets found in camping gear. Thanks
I thought you had someone do the shooting! You are gorgeous and your work is amazing for self portraits! Keep it up! Just some after thoughts - you could add a hairlight (through a honeycomb?). What were your camera settings? f2 f2.8?
Amazing video, thanks. I have to admit, that your really outstanding beauty in the pictures was my initial reason to look at this video. I normally watch your videos mainly for your great content, and this one is VERY interesting re. the ripple-effect. But wow, you are not only an amazing photographer and tutor, but you really also rock as model!
Stepping up that b-roll game! Great shots and a fun video. See you next week!
❤️❤️❤️
The model is amazing ! 😀 Seriously, I have only made it through the first 20 seconds and must stop to commend you for the this exceptional quality. Thank you Irene. And this eye catching thumbnail 👏👏.
Looks incredible 🔥🔥🔥

Ира, с новым годом!!! Спасибо за видео и за идею!!! Ещё можно попробовать вспышкой через пятилитровую бутылку с водой!!!
It won’t have strong enough reflections, but you can try
@@IreneRudnyk ruclips.net/video/HoZ2iTlGCi8/видео.html
Yeah the reflections don’t have enough definition, it just looks like a blob, that’s the same effect I was getting with the glass blocks.
Thanks for sharing this Irene!! I've been searching for this water ripple effect!
