I love all the photos but the one at 8:06 is so 80's unedited and awesome: the low saturation and contrast, the star filter, the colors, the model has also such an Annie Lennox vibe to her!

Mylar is great to work with. I recently did a portrait with a male model for a fashion shoot. Mounted onto V-Flat for a reflective look.
Going to have to try this with the roll left over. Warning about mylar. It leaves fingerprints very easily. Wear gloves to setup your shots.

Thank you for this video, I have tried so many things to get this look even trying to create in photoshop and have never been satisfied enough to try with a client. I had never heard of using mylar till now and I just ordered a roll and now planning to use for upcoming swimsuit session.

May I ask if you have a link to the star-filter used please? and what number it was. I bought one recently, but I can't see any change or sparkles in my images at all, I have used the right type of styling/make-up and light - so very odd! I'm wondering if it's broken perhaps... Thanks Lindsay :)
