Gavin is simply the best. Not only does he take good photos with simple set up, but also the fact that he never pretends to be the one who show off the most expensive equipment like a lot of mediocre RUclipsrs these days.
It's the type of performance you'd want if you hired a photographer. No showing off, no tring to sell you presets or a £200 filter, just turns up and does the job.
A very cool underwater kind of feel with the blue shifted color balance and the mylar. I've seen a photographer in my area put either mylar or a similar down on the floor and bounce the light down into it and have the model lying on the floor for a mermaid type look.
I was watching your videos long before your relationship with Adorama. I never cease to be amazed by your creativity. Give my best to Sam! We have an expression here in the US. You outkicked your coverage. I'll let you figure out what that means! You've become welcome guest in my home!
Great tips, Gavin. I'm going to try some in my next shoot. I've used the aluminized Mylar on the floor to get water-like reflections of the model, but I've never used it like this.
I've been trying to figure out what that holographic paper material was called for years, moreso recently trying to recreate something for a light painting idea. Thank you so much for inadvertently solving another mystery!
This is informative and superb. I'd like to know how you make arrangements and preparations,; from choice of models to model's outfits, makeup artist etc. to produce this video. This will help your fans grow in knowledge get better.
Thoroughly enjoyed watching, thanks again Gavin and the team involved. I can put this idea to many uses, I just need to get some pearlescent/holographic film or tulle might work as well.
I love your videos. They are incredibly creative and I learn a lot from them. Even just for those who have photography as a hobby and to photograph family and friends, as is my case. Many congratulations for such generosity in sharing your knowledge and for the fun and light way in which you do so. 😊
Hmm, good source of inspiration. Shooting in the studio with a model that would like me to use my optical snoot and gobos at the end of the month. This might provide some other variations on a theme. Great stuff, as always.
Sophie, Charlott and Chloe are all beautiful by nature. But Gavin enhances their beauty 10-fold. Gavin have you ever decided to do a shoot with 2 of your models or all 3 of them together?
What a great video! I have a shoot coming up next week where I want to really push the color. I was thinking about using aluminum foil + a gel but I'll definitely give this a go as well. Thanks for the inspiration!

YES
True. He is very inspiring and his energy is contagious.
