    I also should’ve mentioned that straightening my hair with the texture release was so much easier! And I got a better silkier result when it was texture released! But the reaction to humidity seems the same xx

    Thank you for these videos - I haven’t found anyone else on YT doing them. The comparing and contrasting for us naturals who are yet to go through these processes is so helpful! I also have a “tail” at the back, it’s the longest part, makes my afro look strange but when I have my hair slicked back in a bun it helped for length so I allow it to stay. Thanks beautiful ♥️

    I got the texture release and my hair has never been better honestly. After I rinsed out step 2 my hair was already a lot more manageable. The results from straightening my hair have also never been better, and usually my hair starts getting a little fluffy when I'm outside with straightened hair but now it stays straight. I didn't even use high heat and only used 2 passes on my entire head but the results are great for me :)

      The problem is that your new growth won't be the same as your recruiter released hair because the hair doesn't fully revert

      @@altheadawn2531has this been your experience? I’m thinking about TR so I can actually enjoy a silk press (my hair reverts the same day)… but will only do it if I know I’ll get my Afro and natural texture back.

    • @altheadawn2531
      @altheadawn2531 Год назад +1

      @@ThatCoolPickle I was going to try the texture release until I started looking at RUclips comments on several videos and people who do it every month or every few months notice they lose some of their natural curl pattern. I think that's a big No No because that means it's chemicals strong enough to break the bonds of your hair down and to take years to grow natural healthy hair and risk damaging it with this texture release chemical treatment wasn't worth the risk to me. So I decided I will just blow dry my hair or flat iron it once a month as needed so that my hair is manageable and work with my hair from there.I think that way the integrity of the hair will not be compromised because I think they are still selling a chemical process on a smart round about way with the texture release.I wish they would make something natural that makes the flat iron hair water resistant but until then I think that the texture release is not safe in my opinion.

    You will have remaining texture release for several more months . It took a year for mine to fully revert. As your hair grows you will notice the difference between the way the root area or newgrowth reacts to humidity. The cut is a type of layered cut the stylist gave you.

    It’s been almost 2 weeks and my hair even got a little wet from drizzling outside too, yet my hair is still straight and shiny af😭
    All I do is small buns when I sleep and bantu knot the sections of hair that get frizzy/start to revert and it magically becomes sleek again lol. (I also add coconut oil and castor oil to thicken, shine and help with detangling/split ends)
    I haven’t even put heat in my hair ONCE since it I got the release and mom asks me almost every day if I straightened my hair again lol.
