- Had this amp in for repairs a while back. I was shocked at first by the red paint on all the components. Now it's back in for another round of repairs. Owner said he heard a "pop" while playing and lost all sound. We'll track down and repair the source of the fault and install some new output tubes and rebias.

It was the other way around, the leaky EL34 took out the GZ34, this happens often. The tiny wires that connect the GZ34 anode to the pins pops from the current surge caused by the bad EL34. Kind of an Achilles heel with those tubes.
These repair videos are more informative and entertaining for us than you might realize. Please don't stop.
Short and sweet. Get your volume back up on these shorter less arduous vids to beat the algorithm. 2-3 week 10 mins 5 secs each and crank them out. 🥳
