Nice vid, a few interesting storage options I've seen people use would be fishing tackle boxes and jewelry storage cases. For the fishing tackle people would definitely want to buy some thin felt sheets and line the bottom of the trays.
Semi-hard cases have always been my go to. I've had an issue in the past with hard cases where it caused some chipping and scratches on the faceplate of a set, that's why I've stopped using them.

I actually store them is stock box but only if they came with small box.
I have one semi-rigid headphone case made of EVA that I have been using for many years. It can fully meet my needs.
