Saying that iDSD Diablo is not ideal for sensitive IEMs is an understatement. That thing is a power overkill. It will show noise floor even on ECO gain setting.
For some sensitive IEMs, sure.. For my Roland ie3s', Cardas ear speakers, and B&W C5s' (and every sennheiser bud I have), it performs perfectly. True it is one of the best portable DAC and amps a pundit can buy (and 'caveat emptor'; super sensitive buds MAY require an IEMatch product to work optimally), but overkill is fine when you CAN do it. Most flack against the Diablo comes down to previous parts having the IEMatch built in.. In fairness the Diablo is, in part, sold as a powerful headphone amp.. I find it only just has enough juice, in turbo mode, to drive AKG 612s with enough grunt - which really surprised me.. As well as some Ultrasone Edition 5s being comfortable to ride the 'Turbo' setting. I never listen loud, and generally aim to make music levelled to the vocalist.. The Diablo isn't overkill *always*, and it's strengths far outweigh it weaknesses. Especially now, with 7.2 firmware that the Playstation consoles run directly into it, AND we can use the GTO filter.. (Which often sounds better than 'on the fly' high quality DSD conversion). Diablo is so high quality (vs the rest of the market it sits in), I would be surprised if it wasn't in the C-mans' kit bag.
Great video as usual Amos!
Definitely interested in this case!
You're brilliant! (Per usual)
That 'Velcro dot' idea is a great innovation/evolution,.. hope they heed your feedback :-)

Presumably the cover flap is magnetic? Recommendation to Miter: Have a more secure latch and add a wrist strap and you'll have a man clutch bag!
Yes. I forgot to mention that. It's too deep I think for a clutch. Might be worth suggesting to them though.
Will there be enough space for a Fiio M17 and a Cayin C9 ?:)
No, don't think so.
@@Currawong thanks 🙂
Are the van nuys cases worth the extra cost over these in any way? Seems like 4x the cost for the same thing.
That's because the Van Nuys cases are made in Japan.
They make a case for the Hip DAC
