Congrats on 30k 🤙 My favorite care technique is the roadie wrap -- will lengthen the life of a cable, and it looks cool and tidy.
I knew I was forgetting one thing! Thanks Mark!
#7 - Do not leave around 4 month old kittens. They like to chew up the cables.
Ong this happens to me all the time😭
I have lost 700$ worth of cable till now. Even I knew the cat chew the things but still I was careless.
I have 6 cats and out of all of them just one have this behaviour. And its wired as he seems to only like cables with rubber casing.
Same, bro
@@moonabhinavwtf 6 cats?? Bro is living in a zoo
@@Unlucky1776 couldn't leave them. They kinda became a responsiblity and a liability at the same time.
Another tip for humid climates, put a silica gel packet inside the case you keep your IEM's in.
My S12 used to have condensation issues, until I started putting a silica gel pack in the case.
i put cilica gel with them too..
It helps a lot to keep iems dry..❤
First rule: avoid mmcx. If you aleeady have a mmcx, use the especial unplugger or put an adapter to 2pin
Second rule: metal body is better than the others
@@lordlopes2424 Condensation and moisture are said to be a bigger issue for metal bodies.
@@Lishtenbird
Looks like I will take this to note
Cause I'm looking for an iem and I'm thinking in buying a Kima
Thanks for it.
All of my headphones have been two pin
Why mmxc is so bad?
MMCX is alright if you don't remove the cables often otherwise it gets loose easily to the point where the iem can spin around. The downside of 2 pin is the pins getting bent or broken. In summary, the way to protect MMCX or 2 pin is to avoid removing cables from your iem often, if the connection is tight then it's fine, issues start to occur when connection becomes loose.
For iem with metal nozzles, do not wipe the metal nozzles with tissue or any rough cloth, because you may scrub off the protective coating on the metal nozzles which then makes the metal nozzles more easily subjected to oxidation. I used to own an iem whereby the entire metal nozzles are coated with a layer of green iron oxide, the green rust would buildup again after cleaning even when the iem is kept in dry box.
Since then I never rub the metal nozzles of my other iem and the nozzles are still shiny today. This is a quality issue as I believe companies should use stainless steel metal nozzles instead of coated metal especially when they are selling the iem for hundreds of dollars, that's why I'll always prefer full resin shells the fewer metal parts the better chances of the iem lasting a long time.
A microfiber cloth should be fine
I used tissue💀 It's chi-fi though
Congrats on the 30k+ well deserved subs Timmy and I say well deserved because I've been watching for at least a couple years now and you always bring your honest opinions without holding back...
congratulations and keep the successes
Congrats Timmy, you're so special and important to hobby. I'm happy for you.
One tip: silicon gel on bags and case if your IEM are made of steel
Awesome milestone! To more subscribers in the coming months ahead :D
Congrats on 30k subs!
Congrats on 30k
Congrats bro!
Congrats on 30k subs 🎉
Congrats on 30k timmy 🎉
Congrats on hitting 30k subs Timmy!
Congrats on the 30k Timmy!! Much deserved :)
Good luck everyone who joins the giveaway, one of my fave sets. You'll love it.
Congratulations GIZ 😊 💯
grats on 30k
Im 10+ years on IEMs, all of this can't change poor built quality, which I'm mostly fighting against since my first IEM.
Rule1: metal casing, can be glued together if it falls apart, (the worst I ever owned was a shure 425 where the plastic casing was falling apart piece by piece within 6-9 months, the cable was also the worst I ever owned... )
Rule2: interchangeable nozzles, most grills are glued on the nozzle and fall apart much more easily...
Rule3: 2 pin connector cable (preferably angled jack), as high quality replacements are much more affordable than mmcx.
when i was in the states i used to have a tool called jodi vac, it was a needle ish vaccum i use it to clean my iems. it was such a good tool i regret not bringing it with me. i remember having to buy the replacement tips by mailing a check the old fashioned way lol. good times
another tips: dont sleep with your IEMs
i abuse my cheap IEM alot i used to wear my IEM in rainy day and makes it wet and also working out makes my IEM wet because of sweat.
but i never broke my IEMs, the only time my IEM are broken is when i sleep with it and i have non detachable cable.
Congrats on 30k subs sir timmy 👊🤙
Congratulations Timmy!
Id love a pair of your Collab IEMs. It would be freakin amazing if you autographed each giveaway. oh and thank you for ALL of your input and kicka$$ content.
Congrats Timmy, we appreciate your hard work and dedication.

@@foxgaming76yt24 Oh dang, here comes FoxGaming. Hi

@@foxgaming76yt24
Thanks for the video! 😊
Ive been in the hobby for a year and a half already and ive only broken a single CCA CRA through water damage so I think im doing good
Why don't all IEM headphones have IPX certification for water or dust resistance? I think it's important against sweat or rain when playing at a concert.
Giveaway santa Yeaaah!. Congrats!
Congrats
What are you guys opinion on using aftermarket filters? I thought my drivers were broke until I took off the filters and they turned out to be fine
Good video. Hey Timmy, what iem is that on the screen curves that graphs blue? Looks like it might be the Legato with that huge bass shelf..
Congratulations on 30K!! Your tip videos like this one and reviews have been very helpful (sometimes hurtful to my wallet lol), so thank you for all that you do.
Timmy I could not thank you enough for this video . I got into the audiophile hobby / IEM's in February of this year and believe me when I say this video would have been so beneficial and helpful at the start of my journey. I am so glad the discord helped me. I wish I would have been more focus on Tip 5 when I started cause sensitivity is crazy and bad tuning from Kz's made me more sensitive than usual. (Luckily I am okay now and I got the Waners instead) :)
yeah really stop answering my professional questions w your problems
I've been in the IEM game for about 2 years, and so far, the only bad thing that's happened is that the glue in my BLON BL-03 left IEM came undone, and the shell got separated. I carefully glued it back together using E6000 clear epoxy last night, so we'll see if it still works. Also, grats on 30k!
EDIT: The BLON BL-03 left side still works great! Looks like E6000 has saved this IEM, and I'll most likely use it to repair other IEMs if the glue comes undone.
I have the exactly same issue with the blon bl03 after 2 years of using it
I mean what can you expect from a budget iem. Still lasting that long is impressive if not mind blowing for an iem that price good job!!
I forgot to turn down the volumn and accidently damage my newly bought Kz pr2, now its left phone just buzzling when i turn up the volume 😢
Was listening to the Galileo all day at work today 😃
If you live in a humid tropical place, buy a silica gel packet and store it together in a box with your IEMS. Silica gels absorb moisture and keep your cables from turning sticky.
I have some Shure E500 bought New 17 years ago still working, cable is stiff but working
Can you make a video on how to clean them and get earwax out of the mesh?
I bought a pair of Blessing 3, but it doesn't seem to have a wire mesh over the channels, it seems completely open. What a pain in the ass. Love having to spend money and shipping on small mesh circles.
Do you need to remove the iem's from the cable to store??
Congratulations for 30k
Please make more overear headphone review.
Lolz, I keep a pile of about 10 iem's on my desk at any one time for the last 2 years, never had a problem with dust.
"Sorry babe, Timmy said not to shower if I want to make it anywhere in this hobby."
congrats !
Which pair of IEM can be use to work and go out jogging?
Is possible?
Just wanted to say I've been watching through a lot of your videos today as I buy my first pair of IEMs, really nice to see a take care of your IEMs style video and just wanted to say I appreciate all the hard work and comparisons you've made.
Can we clean iem's filter with isopropyl alcohol, does it fall off?
Hi Timmy!! Yes my #1 issue is earwax I have plugged 2 iems so far yes it's gross isn't it! Yes I care for the tips more than anything but I mostly use iems for working out, so I do sweat on them so I dry them after every workout!!
Ive dropped some of my iems man, glad theyre still ok.. Thats the worst thing that could happen even though youre very careful
Thanks for the video whats the outro music?
just clean them periodically, 'dirt' can enter the housing and affect sound
congrats !!! bro
I keep mine hanging on the wall with nails, i hate to wind or coil it up. i might need more nails on the wall, now that the cheaper iems are starting to sound better 😂
Timmy you friggin rock bro, way to go on (nearly) 30k!!
2:17 But how do you use that cleaning tool? What's that hook for,,?
True story… I almost blew up a utopia once 😅 and my ears…
Really enjoy your channel! I hope I get one!😃
As usual great video. We need a video to tune moondrop jiu with a little bass up...❤❤❤
Very helpful ❤
Witch one is the best for technical performance ?
Galileo or Stellaris ?
Thank you Timmy
Guys how to clear the eartips ??
The only iem I've ever broken was from being dropped on the floor. Cracked the shell in half
3:36 Waterproof earphones for swimming do exist though; some use sealing membrane tips, some are bone-conducting. Sure, that's nowhere near "high fidelity", but it's an option.
How often we should remove 2 pin ?
my starseas just cracked so im here :(. its a pretty small crack though so it still works and i might be able to glue them or something
Tip#5 : Sometimes whatever you do the source may bug out & give you an horrifying experience. I was once playing songs in my iPad with KZ Am01 dac, decided to test with Apple usbc dac. So paused the player, muted the volume, removed the previous, plugged in the apple dac. Ensured volume was at 0. Started playing the song, 5-10 seconds in everything is normal & smooth then out of nowhere there’s this loud sound like the song was turned up to 100 & it again turned down by itself in 2 seconds. I literally snatched & pulled out the iem’s with such a force fearing for my life. Heartbeat was above 100 from that awful experience.
Just typing this out brings back that dreadful feeling.. 😢😭😱🥵
The worse for me is sweat in the ears. Gym will bring water inside from sweat. Only way to prevent that is use the black mesh filter and then replace every month.
Congratulations in advance timmy!😅
great video thanks.
I got to check my sources more often. I switch between headphones and iems quite a bit; have been blasted before. It sucks.
Also congrats on reaching this milestone. Hope you get more of them.
Have you ever thought about making a video showing how many drops a standart IEM can stand ?
yes!!! showering with iems on is nice. you're not alone XD
rly nice
Bonus tip: Moondrop QC is ghetto.
I blasted my ears with the aful performer 5. It was brutal
Nice nice, I subscribed
I use my Truthear Hexas for media consumption alone. If I’m working out, I use my AirPods Pro. My Hexas are too precious and yes they’re not expensive like the truly pricey IEMs but I love my Hexas!
If you like foam tips, put them in some water with soap. Don't use alcohol, it ruins them. Pretty obvious honestly but hearing it recently I was like.. oh, duh. And let them dry out fully before use obviously.
Avoid putting too much pressure on the driver when insterting them in your ears by pulling you ear out and using appropriate size tips(not too big). This applies especially if the driver is already presenting driver flex. I also try to break the seal when pulling them out. take care yall!
Also when adjusting them I stop any media.
Is it bad to use iems outside?
Let's have some of that B3 Dusk! Woohoo!!!
Good old wired IEMs, the battery doesn't degrade and die.
Hearing aid wipes! Pro tip!
What iem would you recommend for $50
If the music that I listen to, or the sound that I listen to needs me to put the volume at full, would this also be bad for the IEM?
depends on how loud the full volume actually is
different earphones jave different volume level
I have an idea for your next video. Make a video about IEMs that doesn't push up the upper mids (2-4kHz). IEM like Dunu SA6 MK2 or Sennheiser IE 300.
Man. This video should have came out a year ago when I broke my Moondrop Blessing Dusk.
What about an earwax imbalance?
