While teaching I learned that there are many men suffering the same fate so I began taking men in my class too.

I found this channel/video after speaking with someone at the shop. He spent about 15 minutes helping on a DIY Head Gasket project I am working on. I am not surprised at all they did this for a customer who was ripped of from a dealer. Good guys right here!
Had an issue with my wife's car last month it needed a Head gasket. I had the Head gasket repaired by the Gasket Masters in Manteca, 1031 W. Yosemite Ave. I live in San Jose and the Lexus dealer wanted an arm & a leg to do this job, Gasket Master was well less then 1/2 the dealers cost. This was the best drive I have done in a long time! These guys know what they are doing and are very professional. I dropped off our 2013 Lexus CT200H on a Monday and got a call on Tuesday that my car was ready! They have the best price in California and specialize in Prius cars and Lexus CT200H, it was well worth driving out to them or towing your car to them, they have one of the best warranties in the business. I highly recommend Gasket Masters for all your engine work.

Still enjoying our 2011 Prius, after you came here from California and blessed us with a new engine installed, for less than just buying a rebuilt long block NOT INSTALLED local...I bought the car and after 2 months a ROD went through the Block !!! I was seriously in distress. Wife wasn't to happy with me for buying it and it breaking due to the DEATH RATTLE you talked about, in a video I watch the day before it Destroyed itself.. Hope you are doing wonderful. your videos are such a blessing to so many people, to learn about their prius.. I must say I miss your videos but I'm sure you guys are more than busy..

This car was a curse to me. It sitting in my yard with blown head gasket again! I am out of car again.. Had the car for two years and drove the car for maybe six months the car was at the shop three times and the rest of the time sitting broke.guess the next stop for the car is the junk yard😔
Same thing happens to ours. Mileage shows 125k. Didn't know but head gasket was bad. Had you guys drive to down to replace head gasket. A year later, decided to run a carfax on the car, and it shows over 300k miles a few months prior to purchase.

My 2013 prius has 237k miles on it and needs a new head gasket. I bought it new and put all those miles myself with my mother. I don't really have the money to buy a new car in this current market. Do you think it is worth me doing the Head Gasket on a Car with 237k miles?
If the engine isn't damaged beyond repair, without a doubt if you can. Preventative maintenance is very important; like oil/fluid changes as specified, intake-EGR-PCV Valve Circuits cleaning and any other PM's. Some model years I guess need the water pumps changed too. I'm at ~270K miles with my 2013 and will when I need to. Amazing what these vehicles are capable of. I'm amazed at the market value these keep as well... well... then again... not really since so reliable, low maintenance and long lasting.
Update is I was at a distressed ~281K miles and finally after all these years threw the check engine code. I made a few videos of my situation, though didn't notice coolant loss at the time from what I recall. Though I was wondering about pressure maintaned overnight in the coolant reservoir. Anyways, PCV Valve was bad, intake was swapped with better cleaned yard one same part number and I cleaned the EGR pipe and what I could get at inside the EGR valve without removing. Re-assembled and had one subtle vibration rattle and hadn't had since until a few days ago out with my Mom at the 50 percent off Goodwill Store sales she like to do all day. Anyways, first store, vibration rattle. Filled tank and nothing. Second store leaving vibration rattle. Said, Mom I got to take you back and park this car until I get some work done basically. After leaving her place the third vibration rattle. Nothing super bad and only for like a second or two. Though that second time did throw the check engine light for the second time. I'm at over 284K miles now and still getting 50-60MPG, though I definitely lost coolant one drive where I made a video like a week back. Hadn't worried about too much other than the grill block removing since I didn't notice sluggish driving with the full AC and Mom even noticed wasn't so cold the last times we were out. Been monitoring when using the AC and hadn't noticed any temps over 205, though this few days back of rattle vibrations on starting definitely got me reading up again and writing down a list of what I need and need to print out for when doing the work so I don't skip anything. I think I'll print out the bolt patterns enlarged and tape or glue to cardboard and punch holes in so I know what's where and have the torque and details written by each. Yeah, though definitely do, the more I've been watching listing for the gen 2 and 3 since I wound up last writing investing in a 2006 for backup. I missed a few gen3 that were awesome prices and also saw more than I expected with well over 300K miles on and one over 600K. Just plan the head gasket is the thing to do even if you have to do that every 200K or so plus mainly some other little work. These cars are amazing and well work keeping and not blowing up by not doing the head.
