I think the game should start with you as either Marcus or Dom and where they are at during emergence day. They could both be out getting a drink and then next thing you know the Locust are attacking and they have to go and grab there gear at there homes.
I think mk is more online honestly, gears of war is story to me. I love both games. But gears of war story is amazing. Even if you were only a fan of the story you are a fan. Even if you only play horde, you are a fan. F them haters. Do what you do brother
Doms kids go missing in the books. Never says or shows how or if they died. Who knows if someone took them in as stranded and they survived or not. Maria refuses to believe they are gone and has a mental break. She takes medicine to help but still goes and looks for them. I believe this is how she ends up going missing.
