As a myelomengocele I have a urostomy and suffer from UTI's quite often. I Just wanted to thank you as much for your presentation as your information. I was in so much pain I couldn’t walk and had period cramps and I thought I was in labor and lower back pain that was intense. Omg they had this medication that you put on where you pee and the burning stopped immediately. If you’re a person that is in that much pain as I was please go to the ER hospital and you will be so happy you did. I only had to stay 12 hours which was overnight and left in the late afternoon

It tells you how to take the dosage how to treat it and how to cleanse your uterus. Can they legally prove this? For God sake do not take Cipro unless you are Have B type blood. It causes nerve damages to the other 3 types. It was created for Saras not for urine infection. They gave it to me when I was 75,it ate a hole in my gut and I was Diabetic with all kinds of hand and feet damage 3 weeks later, Bayar has paid out billions to people and are still pushing it.I talked to 2 lawyers, one said I was to old to prove in was not caused by the Cipro. I had a torn leyament 3 days after started and hopped on one foot back MedMD and told someone something was really wrong. They called and sent me a another bottle. Uti can be serious. I got kidney stones because i was predisposed to uti. I got a kidney stone, the kidney stone sadly gave me sepsis. I'm better now but there is some disappointment because I was trying really hard to stay clean and hydrate and still bam uti. Woke up and the smelly urine with burning. I get UTIs that are not painful at all (they used to be) but they consistently got faster and faster to get severe and less painful each time. Because those antibiotics would kill and slow the bacterial growth....the infection which in turn causes fever. So once the antibiotics starts its work the fever would eventually go. Hope it helps. Maintain a bladder diary and wish you good health.
Fever reducers are just symptom maskers when you have an infection. Antibiotics actually target the source and will reduce a fever once they start working automatically.
I get UTI’s regularly. Mine aren’t particularly painful down below, however they make me feel so ill. My last infection was the worst to date & at times just wanted to die. I had a terrible fever, thumping headache & vomiting. I didn’t eat for 5 days.

How to avoid UTI after antibiotics? It have happened to me more than once after finishing off antibiotics, I get UTI. I did try probiotic if possible during antibiotics but this time, I had to take antibiotics three times per day so it was hard to find a time slot to take probiotic. But after I finished the course, I quickly started taking probiotic but it was too late :!

Isn't cranberry juice NOT good because of the added sugar? If one drinks the juice, it must be pure, with no additives. Or, you can opt to take the cranberry pill capsules.
I experience urgency that keeps me from making it to the bathroom accompanied by pain. In the past I’ve had uti where the urgency was not this bad: I can’t always make it to the bathroom. The pain is sharp but not long lasting. I will have to wait til tomorrow to have tests and get treatments. It came on suddenly and the urgency continues even when bladder not overly full. I’m drinking water: would do cranberry but can’t get to store without fear of wetting myself in public. Any ideas of how to cope better when this happens until you can get medical help. Thanks.

Hi Dr I've been going to doctors for this and I'm not getting any help. I experience a lot of pain after urinating as well as during urinating but when they check my urine they can't find anything. Amoxicillin is not strong enough for a kidney infection. If you genuinely have a kidney infection you need to see a doctor or go to the hospital that’s really dangerous.

For God sake do not take Cipro unless you are Have B type blood. It causes nerve damages to the other 3 types. It was created for Saras not for urine infection. They gave it to me when I was 75,it ate a hole in my gut and I was Diabetic with all kinds of hand and feet damage 3 weeks later, Bayar has paid out billions to people and are still pushing it.I talked to 2 lawyers, one said I was to old to prove in was not caused by the Cipro. I had a torn leyament 3 days after started and hopped on one foot back MedMD and told someone something was really wrong. They called and sent me a another bottle. It is supposed to have a Black Box warning in US , but I did not get one. Good Luck.

Uti can be serious. I got kidney stones because i was predisposed to uti. I got a kidney stone, the kidney stone sadly gave me sepsis. I'm better now but there is some disappointment because I was trying really hard to stay clean and hydrate and still bam uti. Woke up and the smelly urine with burning.

If the UTI lasts longer then 1 months than you should seriously consider being checked A to Z includes blood tests, ultrasound tests etc.

I get UTIs that are not painful at all (they used to be) but they consistently got faster and faster to get severe and less painful each time. Because those antibiotics would kill and slow the bacterial growth....the infection which in turn causes fever. So once the antibiotics starts its work the fever would eventually go. Hope it helps. Maintain a bladder diary and wish you good health.

Fever reducers are just symptom maskers when you have an infection. Antibiotics actually target the source and will reduce a fever once they start working automatically.
I get UTI’s regularly. Mine aren’t particularly painful down below, however they make me feel so ill. My last infection was the worst to date & at times just wanted to die. I had a terrible fever, thumping headache & vomiting. I didn’t eat for 5 days.

How to avoid UTI after antibiotics? It have happened to me more than once after finishing off antibiotics, I get UTI. I did try probiotic if possible during antibiotics but this time, I had to take antibiotics three times per day so it was hard to find a time slot to take probiotic. But after I finished the course, I quickly started taking probiotic but it was too late :!

Isn't cranberry juice NOT good because of the added sugar? If one drinks the juice, it must be pure, with no additives. Or, you can opt to take the cranberry pill capsules.
I learned to take cranberry capsules and avoid all that sugar that is in juice.

I experience urgency that keeps me from making it to the bathroom accompanied by pain. In the past I’ve had uti where the urgency was not this bad: I can’t always make it to the bathroom. The pain is sharp but not long lasting. I will have to wait til tomorrow to have tests and get treatments. It came on suddenly and the urgency continues even when bladder not overly full. I’m drinking water: would do cranberry but can’t get to store without fear of wetting myself in public. Any ideas of how to cope better when this happens until you can get medical help. Thanks.

Hi Steven. An UTI is quite uncommon for men, however not impossible. If your symptoms get worse it could be wise to contact your personal doctor.

Hi Dr I've been going to doctors for this and I'm not getting any help. I experience a lot of pain after urinating as well as during urinating but when they check my urine they can't find anything. I've been taking different antibiotics but still I'm in pain. I have consulted doctors as well as Urologists but still I'm suffering to an extent that I can't go to work.
My 6 year old has been going through this for 3 years. She had a procedure done and she didn't have one for 6 months. Now there back again 😢.
