1) is it possible to use the existing/original roller shade? 2) mine won’t slide back far enough. It crinkles about a quarter of the way retracting and stops.
Yes you can if it is still in a good condition.
Would love to see an instructional video to do this on a 2013-2020 Lincoln MKZ. These vehicles have a reputation for issues with the panoramic sunroof and shade.

I actually pulled a broken unglued one out of a 2015 today.
Its less involved than this one.

But the headliner removal was the worst part.
Replacement shades are readily available.
Once you get in there and start pulling the roller retainers off, you will see how easy it is.

I have a 2016 and it sags on one side, found a place on Amazon with replacements but didn’t know how easy/difficult the job would be. BMW wants to charge me $1,500 for parts and labor, for an F’g piece of fabric!

Is it possible to purchase the ‘blind shoe’ only? Mine broke and need to be replaced to be able to hook the blind rod back onto it, but I haven’t been able to find that part anywhere. I have a jeep cherokee but the blind shoe looks identical to the one in this video

What car is this? VW / Audi are very different to this installation
It was a Kia Optima. It is not very different on other cars but you might need to look for the workshop manual for your car as well to do it properly.
