🥒ABOUT BEFRS:
Hey, I’m Sonny! I’m from the US but currently call Vietnam home. I’ve been living in Asia for 10 years and started making food and travel videos to document my experiences. People either enjoyed my undeniable charm or enjoyed watching me eat things like coconut worms, and thus Best Ever Food Review Show came to be.
I travel to different parts of the world, hunting down and documenting the most unique food each country has to offer. If you see any factual food errors in my videos, please feel free to politely let me know in the comments. I'm a huge fan of trying different, interesting foods in each country. My show is from a Western point of view, but more importantly, MY point of view. It is not meant to offend any person or culture.
Don’t forget to subscribe to Best Ever Food Review Show, so we can connect through food and travel and become Bestys!

Best Ever Food Review Show what’s Up
I just Woked Up I slept Late Damn
You know what I love about sonny? He respects every culture. No matter how unbelievable the food may be, he dosent disrespect or show disgust. You're awesome Sonny!
I sorta wish he would atleast say when he dislikes taste , it's unrealistic to like the taste of everything and you can say that without disrespecting a culture or the cook . I've seen where he says he doesn't like textures, seasonings but never taste itself.
@@Jayariee maybe he likes the taste? Everyone is different and he could have required taste that others don't
Jayarie he seems like the guy who isn’t at all picky. I love how open to any food he is
Kelly Phan it’s not required it’s acquired
That’s where you are wrong my friend
I was born in Hanoi, and now I am far away from home just to pursuit my western dreams. It is true that you know my hometown much deeply than I do, at least cuisine wise. You make me miss my home, miss the casual things that I did not appreciate. It seems to be very strange that I need a foreigner to show me how great my hometown is.
Thank you very much for your videos and the efforts that you dedicate to introduce Vietnamese cuisine to the world. Keep up the good work !
Work for your dreams 🌼 and yes, your city looks simple cozy and warm
Sometime , we need stranger to make us realize how precious our surroundings are .
Nghia Doan I was born in Worcester but in Vietnamese when my mom was like a kid she moved away from Vietnam and moved to Worcester and had me.
Hanoi has been blowing up. I found out about it through Watchmen the show and it keeps popping up. I'd love to visit there

Is it only me who thinks that these food videos are better than exotic food videos?
it IS better than exotic food videos becoz not everyone can eat the $200 bowl noodle. but everyone can go to Vietnam and eat what Sonny is eating. I think it's what great about this channel
It’s because he’s relatable.
Ofc it is
Agreed
just you
I was born in Hanoi but my parents moved to America before I could really make memories that I can remember. I'm so happy I'm Vietnamese, I swear the food is to die for.

Vietnamese food is definitely in my top 3 list.
Which is your top 1 and top 2?
@@huycuongle9236 same
I hunger Vietnamese food all the time, I grew up living as half viet.

I love Vietnamese tofu. Taste better than any other.
thank you:) am Viet and I didn't know that:)
or just eat a juicy hamburger.
so true. :))
Burger king and McDonald meat are mostly soybean.
@@thhdhn2 that's false its 100% beef however that doesnt mean it good meat, it could have skin and other things from a cow it would still be considered 100% beef. notice they use the term beef and that term can be used for anything beef. maybe their vegetarian option but no its not soy if it was it would be healthier than it is but probably taste bad lol.
bruh.. you're like legit funny. Other travellers attempt it.. but fail miserably.
thanks for vids man
It's lovely to see how happy people are with such a simple setting and not needing excess space or extravagant furniture. As long as the food is tasty, and you can tell it is :)
He makes the most amazing, respectful, beautiful, honest, insightful, interesting and most importantly, happiest food review shows
Seems like Vietnam is THE place for all things breakfast 😍😍 definitely beats bacon & pancakes ngl
What are bacons and pancakes? I don't even know about them in my entire life. Yet everyday I have each kind of breakfast.
Yes, i think about what to eat every morning, so many choice
Sad that he came to Hanoi and did not get any Bún Chả for $1.5. That is the real traditional Hanoian food.
Vietnam has like thousands of breakfast and that's not all LOL

I hardly comment on anything, BUT, I love this channel. Sonny is so respectful of every beautiful culture that he experiences. Whenever I come here, I know I’m not leaving without learning something new, laughing, and the obscene urge to eat something so I can feel like I’m a part of this 😂😂

As a Minnesotan, I wish that when going to Vietnam that I am asked by customs, 'Why are you in Vietnam'... Answer: "If it was worth fighting for, than it's certainly worth a visit"
Oof
Nahh customs will just let you in without asking you anything.
Oooooof
Tung Do oh wow really? woahhhhh wowwowowo
@@Dark-st2hx Yeah, as long as you have the proper documents, they won't ask you anything. Whether you are going to Vietnam for pleasure or business, that is none of their business.
You’ve experienced more of Vietnam than I have. I’ve been to like 3 parts of Vietnam and stayed for a total of 6months but my mom be having me trapped in the house all day long because she’s super protective. Kinda sad that I couldn’t enjoy Vietnam but watching videos like this really shows me how the country can be so great.

He tried those foods exactly the way Vietnamese people often do that shows his appreciation for our cuisine. Love his enthusiasm!!
Your video is amazing and I feel like you are not a foreigner but a local people who is trying to show Vietnam to the world. I mean wow! Thank youu
Y’all’s videos are so good. You definitely deserve your own show on the Travel Channel!! I would actually watch tv then lol. But your editing is so fantastic, I know that takes so much time and patience! Kudos to the cameraman for getting such great shots!
YESSSSSS these are my favorite types of videos you make! Fast pace, street food, and VIETNAM!! Please make more!
What is pandan flavor?
Pandan is a leaf.
It is the flavor of that leaf.

Amazing video as always ! Just have to say I love how you put effort into giving us information about where to find the restaurants and stands , their schedules and prices ! Really helps us if (and when! More like) we would decide to travel ! Great job!
proud to see you enjoy your time in travelling Asian countries. I remember how much you wanted to get more people to watch. Your efforts paid off, and now look at you! nice video! 👍😊
Love your videos!!!! Keep up the good work 😊😊😊😊💐
My dad is a fisherman from Rach Gia and I don’t know him or any other Vietnamese family so I get a ton of Vietnamese knowledge from this show. Love ya sonny
This is a fantastic video, but I'd like to confirm one thing, which is the"soy sauce" in the "xôi rán" (fried sticky rice). The "soy sauce" you were talking about was actually a mixture of fish sauce, salt, and caramelized sugar (there isn't any soy sauce in there). Both the "Vietnamese pork sausage and the whole fried egg were cooked in that mixture, probably together with pork.
Love it! All of these spots are authentic! I love the snail noodle (Bun Oc) in the beginning! The Food Ranger loves it too and rates it 9.6 (?) out of 10. As a Hanoian, I think it is a very underrated food that tourists should try in Hanoi besides Bun Cha.
Thank you for visting my country (Vietnam)!!! Isn't it beautiful there.

Thank you for all that you do to share such incredible food.😋 God Bless! 🥢🥡
EVERYTHING LOOKS SO GOOD
Love your videos so interesting and funny thank you for making them :)
Vietnam is an amazing place!!
The fact that nothing in this list is actually under $1 :D
These are Hoan Kiem prices, the majority of these foods is actually much cheaper anywhere in Hanoi. :) The biggest problem with the food in Hanoi is a small variety of flavors, the majority of the cooks just make it too bland. Much love for 🇻🇳 my second home.
Yeah but he said that it was Clickbait
@@SpawnLQX Well, it's more of an universal palate the people in Ha Noi have. I've seen tons of people in Ha Noi trying western foods (mostly American) and shocked at how rich the flavor is. Most of them hated it. Southern regions foods would fit Westerners' palate better, I find.
Sms Msm Not really. American’s common food that I had for 3 years in Maine and New York so far are rich in salt pepper or sugar, maybe because I haven’t eat that much American food. It’s a different type of rich in flavor comparing to Vietnam’s flavors. I figured in any culture there will be bland and flavorful food so I won’t make any assumptions about American’s food or any other country’s food and I hope you’d be the same.
It's Ha Noi so. I'm not that surprised, Ha Noi is the capital of Vietnam, the lifestyle and prices there are more expensive
You have surely put Vietnamese food on world map..I came to know about many different dishes of Vietnamese cousine through your video👍
I just started watching your Lagos food exploration...now Im in Hanoi....your vids are amazing.
It's not soy sauce sonny, it's the traditional braise stock you have when you braise porks and porks sausace. Mostly carameled sugar, salt and meat juice.
Oooo wow, sounds delicious 😋
Goes great with rice too, i can eat a huge bowl of rice with that stock😂
