My recent trip to New Orleans lent itself to a great opportunity to shoot some time lapse from my 39th floor hotel room. I had a spectacular view.
    The Camera:
    Canon Powershot SD630
    - set to time lapse (1 photo every 5 seconds)
    - CHDK firmware enhancement for Canon cameras - bit.ly/vymdE
    The Music:
    "Opportunity Walks" by Kevin MacLeod

This was my second New Orleans trip, and you folks rock! I'm happy to see the city didn't lose its spark after Katrina. I'm ready to go back.

Just so you know, this wasn't recorded with video. It's a series of photographs. No "recording", no "fast forwarding". This is how the poor man does it.

I'm remodeling my basement into a video/music studio. I'll be posting new videos once that's completed.

No, no offense at all. Just clarifying how I actually did it. Using photographs works better for me anyway, and I still get basically the same results as I would with an HD camera.

New Orleans is nice. You should go during Mardi Gras if you haven't already. its CRAZY. Also no trip to New Orleans is complete without a stroll down burbon st.

I am sorry if I offended you in a way, I didn't mean to do that.
It's just the way you've put it together that seems as if it is a fast-forwarded film. The photographs though are really good and New Orleans looks very nice at night.

lol, hours of recording all put up together on 'fast-forward' to make up a 1.31 minutes video! Nice job though, and really liked the music you added into it.

I'd like to use part of this video as a background for an ad for a church related event in New Orleans. If I don't hear from you I'll use something else. All I need is your permission. Contact info would be great. Thanks.

Ha. Well, one can only hope they look "professional".
