What are the lyrics?
Šonakti, šonakti (C)
Mērena (G) salniņa (C)
Viens jauns (F) pāriņis (C)
Sasalis (G7) kopā (C)
Dievs dos rītā
Labu jaunu saulīti.
Tā to pāriņu
Atkal sildīs
Dziļa, dziļa ziemiņa,
Salts rudentiņis,
Grib mans bāleliņš
Līgavu ņemti.
Īsto brālīti / ved māsu dancot,
Trīs reizes apgriez / dod tautu rokās.

This will not be a grammatically correct translation, but the idea will be understood, I hope
Frost ( or Tonight, tonight)
Tonight, tonight
There is moderate frost,
One young couple
Is frozen together.
God will give in the morning
A good new sun
It, the (young) couple
Will warm again.
Deep, deep winter,
Cold autumn,
My brother wants
To take a bride.
Brother bring sister to dance,
three tmes turn (a sister who will be merried), "give (her) to people hands" (let her live her new life without you).
Tonight, tonight
There is moderate frost,
One young couple
Is frozen together.
God will give in the morning
A good new sun
It, the (young) couple
Will warm again.
@@ievaeihvalde7066 Can anyone translate into English?
@@leeannsosa9144 I have already written. My previous comment is with lyrics in Latvian and also in English. What is written in English isn't grammatically correct, but you can understand what the song is about. It's a wedding song.
Its a spring song.
Slight frost this morning. Two young people frozen together.❄🌝 smth. about that😄
