Was looking forward to your reaction to this episode Jen. I've always loved this one and even though I'm not always a fan of a lot of humour in episodes they really got it just right with this one.
Spin The Bottle was definitely one of the best episodes of Season 4. A great scene where Gunn squares up to Wesley, but we now know this is totally different Wesley from the bumbling fool we were introduced to in S3 of BTVS. Apart from his brilliant intellectual skills in deciphering old text etc, he is now a cynical hardened warrior. When Gunn says 'what happened to you man' Wesley replies ' I had my throat cut and all my friends abandoned me, an incredibly hard hitting moment. Very funny when they all revert to being teenagers, with witty dialogue and a crazy chaotic situation similar to Tabula Rasa in S4 of BTVS when Willow's spell backfired. Hilarious when Wesley pulls out the crucifix to Gunn accusing him of being the vampire, and he punches him out. When Cordelia gets her memory back it almost feels strange as she tells Angel she remembers it all. Lorne speaking to himself at the end with no audience is a powerful scene. All in all a really good episode.
The crew called this the _Tabula Rasa_ episode of AtS on set, or so the commentary said, and the cast had so much trouble with the giggles the producer had to give them a time reminder.
i love that cordy says "hello, salty goodness" to angel as that's the very first thing she said when she meets him in buffy s1

I love this episode!!! These actors are so brilliant!! I met Amy Acker at a Con. She was as sweet as you would hope she would be.
