Zach’s dad is a Beast for keeping up with the young guns.
Man I hope I have that kind of stamina and determination when I get older. My grandmother went with me and my grandfather on my elk hunt a few years ago. She climbed the same 10,000 ft mountain I did at age 73. 🤯 She also killed a 6x6 elk on her 60th birthday. She’s been my hunting inspiration ever since I was little.
Elk hunting gives you extra strength and determination. Success is the best kind of pain

When those yotes went to yelling dang that was crazy. A couple years ago I had a pack of coyotes yelling behind me while I was deer hunting a little bit before dark so I started heading out and next thing I know another pack started yelling just above me in the creek bottom while headed out. Needless to say I picked up the pace and made a new trail through the pines. Awesome excitement guys. It's awesome to watch you guys do what so many of us wish we could. Keep it up!!! And that calling sequence was just crazy!!! I couldn't imagine just how awesome that would be to experience from a Deer hunter from GA
So hunting elk is like hunting turkeys, albeit in huge wilderness terrain? Listen, move. Listen, move. Bump a quiet one. Repeat. (just saw the end. That looks awesome!)

So many different, interesting sounds out in nature that so many people don't get to witness. One of the reasons I love the outdoors so much. These videos are getting me fired up for deer season

Man, I would love to do this again. I haven't been back to hunt elk since my dad passed away. None of my friends or family are crazy enough to go with me. Just hoping and praying that I get drawn for one of our special elk hunts here in Oklahoma. Thanks for the video, it brought back a lot if great memories.

If you watch alot or any of the Primos team elk hunts Watch how they call and copy it , It works great . To much aggressive calling can crush a hunt and quick with any species

I used to archery elk hunt unit 17 in Colorado, lots of elk if you can get away from the other hunters.
Wow so close but so far that was exciting . Something that I wished I had done before my Health got to me but I still hunt local Deer just can`t walk as far now . Enjoyed it
Perhaps more cow calls. Less bugling. They come silent downwind. Split up. Caller and shooter.

I’ve hunted Colorado highly pressured otc public land for elk several times and have been very successful. Leave the bugle tube at home. That’s the quickest way to put yourself “out of the game”
Why is that ?
In most otc units all you do is call in other hunters with a bugle tube. And in general ( not always) just don’t bugle as much as other unpressured units. It’s just been my experience.

Never drop your pack. Not a good idea. While working a bull you could move miles from where you first heard him and could take an hour or more.

My buddy went to Colorado last yr to elk hunt public land. A outfitter there talked crap to him trying to run him off. They even shot over his shoulder to scare off a elk

Zach I felt like y'all froze up , I would have dropped the pack and ran for him . Every time when the smoke cleared for me I was 40 yards too far , that's hunting! For what it's worth,I'd have face paint or a mask .
