What was the scent wick the 8 pt sniffed? I’ve gotten away from using scent for mature bucks, have you had luck with mature bucks on the specific scent?

I liked this video its hope for youth hunters and public land. Hunting shows usually have rich old guys that pay big money to hunt a 200 inch on 12 acres.

This was so fun to watch. I loved everything about it. I see everyone talking about how they loved the work, story, and emotion of it but the thing that blew me away was the shot. Absolute perfection man, especially when you factor in everything you put into getting there, it all came down to that one moment and you were on the $. That was incredible! Congrats!

One of the best documented hunts I have had the privilege to watch. This was a true joy as we got to come along on this journey. It is amazing the emotional roller coaster that we ride in pursuit of a magnificent animal. Congrats on a great buck and putting in the time to get it done! I acted the same way when I tagged my first black bear, yet to get a whitetail of that size, but I been chasing one on my family's 35 acres for 3 years now. Amazing, good for you, I appreciate and respect that you did it all yourself. Where I live in Maine rack matters but first thing most people ask, "what did it weigh?" After the first encot, makes the second one all the sweeter. Amazing job, amazing video, congratulations.

Love the video. Bucks get huge in Iowa for sure. I use scent lock hunting gear product and activate carbon and I pay no attention to the wind. Never winded.
