- The DC-1 is a traditional-style drill/tap machine with a 10,000-rpm BT30 spindle and high-speed turret-style tool changer to minimize cut-to-cut times and shorten cycle times. Choose the optional 15,000-rpm or 20,000-rpm spindle to cut production times even further.
The compact footprint and rear chip discharge of the DC-1 allow machines to be placed side-by-side to maximize floor space, and provide easy side access for automation systems. The machine’s one-piece, extra-wide base provides stable support for heavier parts and fixtures, and the wide-stance triangulated column increases overall rigidity.

That tool change 💀 I was expecting a speedio, glad we got to see it run lol. Speedy-ish. Neat little machine though. I am curious how this is better than a couple year old speedio/robodrill. Also why charge an extra 3k for hsm as an add-on, when it’s DESIGNED to be a high speed machine? I don’t understand this nickel-dime stuff
Yet people still buy it. They still charge $2k for rigid tapping on some of their machines. Between RT and HSM, you're looking at almost 5k for options that come standard on just about every other machine.
Its not better, its literally just a rebrand that has been on the market since like 2017 if not before (first time I saw that exact oem design was at that time).
Also its simple. Not including the critical features in the base price allows you to list a lower minimal price which is likely to get more people to click on the link and look at the machine.
@@koolguyson well tbf other manufacturers also charge for that, its just as you said already in the base cost (which ofc makes the base cost more expensive).
I don't mind software add-ons because it makes it cheaper for people that don't need it. Like if this machine is going to be just drilling and tapping then what's the point of having hsm?
@@koolguysonstandard on hobby machines maybe, but I’ve seen this a lot on other industrial machine brands that cost way more than Haas.
Работаю на HAAS выпуска 2005 года. Несмотря на все испытания от судьбы и операторов, станок продолжает работать. 👍
The Best! We are using Haas.
That spindle noise...
I see how that TC works, interesting.. I am very curious about how to service this machine, I look forward to seeing one soon!
Glad to see HSM is finally standard... or is it still an unlock code that you have to purchase?
The thing your machine tool is already capable of is still locked behind a pay wall.
Well dang... they're slower than a Tormach without those unlock codes
I wouldn't opt for this machine. I like some of their stuff, but the DC-1 isn't it. It's a rebadged, improved machine from a Chinese OEM. The lack of transparency is a bit unnerving. Honestly, all of Haas' lower-end machines aren't really worth it.
Nice machine😊
is the sound louder due to epoxy granite? I guess this is made of epoxy granite no?
whats the difference between a DC1 and the super mini mill? Seems the mini mill is a better value.
I guess the epoxy granite casting... (just a guess)
@@mrechbreger I don't think that's a positive. I think the super mini mill is a much better deal.
Chinese machines have come a long way!
Made in USA or China?
Nice made in china machine. I call it the alibaba special.
Which Haas Maschines are made in China? - I didn’t know they do..
@@teekteekteekteekThis one is actually it’s more chinese than the syil which has schneeberger casting and thk rails..
@@platin2148 ok. Spindle is Haas or even Chinese? Because of BT30?
@teekteekteekteek spindle is Chinese. Haas just put their stickers on a Alibaba machine
To be fair it has a Haas control, which I would guess is mostly Taiwanese??
Yeah, I'll just buy another Speedio................
So cute, Haas thinks they are going to try and compete with Syil after years of over charging, and nickel and diming customers on features that should come standard.
Right? Kinda 10 years late. I wonder if they’ve figured out which magic color grease/oil makes this one function without clogging 😂 no way these get recalled for any unseen issues like the umc350. I’m sure that tool changer will work flawlessly with no problems. Never thought I’d see the day where I’d buy the tormach version first but hey, that 1500 looks nice too, with everything standard for $43k shipped.
Can we get it with a FANUC control 😂
