I love this line, I love this game. Somehow I keep finding myself replaying it and the entire series at least twice a year, and every time its the most epic experience ever.

Yeah. Totally. It’s just a coincidence that this specific infected zombie that somehow armored up a car and is capable of driving just happen to be able to past through your checkpoints.

Perform the near impossible task of hitting the tires on a speeding muscle car on foot as it zooms directly at you. Flawless plan, what could go wrong?

This is one of the strongest OST that I have ever heard. I am very sorry that I did not know about the existence of such wonderful music before. When I listen to this soundtrack again, I feel like a Soldier who looks with his resolute gaze at the destroyed Evans City and tries with all his might to fulfill his duty. I imagine how my squad and I are fighting off a large zombie attack and are going to evacuate from a dangerous area. My God, the game was released in 2011-12, and its gameplay looks cool even for today. Voice acting of characters on the radio... Well, here the guys really tried their best and worked tirelessly. I can still hear the voices of the soldiers, the dispatcher, the commander and General Sherman in my head:
SOLDIER: _I see him!_
COMMANDER: _SHOOT THAT BASTARD!!!_
SOLDIER: _Sir, the spikes are ready!"_
COMMANDER: _Roger that! Stop the target!!!_
COMMANDER: _To all units on Highway 65. We have a moving black sports car. It must be stopped! Stay alert!_
SOLDIER 2: _Outpost 7 to base! We're facing a massive crowd of undead here! We're holding but we might have to pull back if more show up!_
COMMANDER: _Maintain your position. They're dead and slow for Christ's sake. Just kill 'em all._
SOLDIER 2: _They're hard to kill, sir!_
COMMANDER: _Just do your job._
SOLDIER 2: _Yes, sir!_
SOLDIER 2: _Checkpoint to Base... Ah-h-h... The target is still going..._

SHERMAN: _Hold position. Don't start evacuating till all the transports have landed. We'll lead a synchronized retreat._
SOLDIER: _Yes, sir!_
SHERMAN: _Sherman to Phantom Eagle. We have the president's approval. You are go for the drop. I repeat, you are go for the drop!_
PHANTOM EAGLE: _Affirmative. Nuclear head armed, ready to drop. Heading to target! Over!_
SOLDIER 2: _Sir! All transports are on ground. We're evacuating the river bank!_

Guys, these radio dialogues are epic...
Yeah dude, this soundtrack goes hard with games like "Project Zomboid." It really makes you feel like a badass.
It's literally way ahead of its time, and all because it has so much personality and life put behind it.
You can tell everyone working on this game put everything they've got, and this were the results.
Truly unmatched by most games nowadays, full of corporate and lifeless greed.
THIS is how you make a proper game people will remember and want to keep playing.

a bugatti chiron would be the LAST vehicle i'd choose for a zombie apocalypse, the suspension is too low, and adding an effective amount of armor would just make the car ridiculously heavy, besides, when you're trying to weave through obstacles, a car that goes 260-275 mph is not the best choice, I need something nimble, or something big to ram through everything, not some bougie luxury hypercar.

This is the best flash game I've played. Perfectly animated so it doesn't look cheesy, fun gameplay, detailed animations, and good music. Kudos to you guys for making such an awesome game series, limited to flash. Is there a 3 coming anytime soon?
Here’s what I’ve gathered reading other comments:
RotD3 takes place 1-2 years after the events of the first two. You play as John “The Jackass” Creasman choosing which roads to take and spanning across multiple environments, being nuked cities, wooden rural areas and soforth. For being a game as big as it is, this open world game is to be used on a different engine. There are no plans to make a 3d remake of the first two since it has been said to be too much work, and the making of this game has went into debate wether it will be done or not. It’s been years since this was perceived so I doubt it will ever come around
@@zSTALKn Last thing project I knew Evil Dog was working on was City of the dead a rts multiplayer game where you play as the police and military trying to contain the infected at evans city.
I heard that for its, it was game ahead of its time.

I hope we go back to playing John Creaseman on I hope, the future road of the dead 3. The original was so much better than the second one...I hope if there's a third, we're playing as him again in a setting that's non-city? Who knows, but I hope it's like the first game with John Creaseman.
yes Road 3 follows Creasman again, approx one year after the events in Road1-2, in the wastelands between major cities, in small infested towns and in massive, sometimes nuked, infested big cities, small wooden areas, etc it's a big game so I don't know if/when we'll do it
That sounds amazing! Will the military still be pursuing them or maybe more powerful zombies in replace? And I assume the shooting mechanics will come into the third instead of the press space bar mechanic. A non-city enviroment with his car will be interesting and i hope the looks of the car from the end of 2 stays as it gives players the feel of what it took to survive. I assume there would be military road blocks,etc in the wasteland/dessert right and after the city being nuked, I wouldn't be surprised if they take anger out on John or even blame him for the out break

DA MOSHUNZ Would be a mix between road 1 and road 2, more open world, deciding the roads you take so yes, it's still the same driving game, the gameplay we wanna add is the scavenging part where you get out of your car to have a shootout sequence, taking cover behind your car, shooting either raiders, zombies or just exchaning words with the survivor npcs for a quick stop
+Evil-Dog Productions that's pretty interesting. So in a sense, if the player wants to repair their car or get upgrades, they must choose safe roads accordingly and scavenge. I assume there will be some info on the roads the player can choose with its threat level with predicted scavenger/zombies/military and thus, they know if they are prepared or need to scavenge. Scavenging for repairs/upgrades on his car sounds nice. Is there still a destination he must make it to but I assume, very difficult to get there thus he needs to scavenge to get stronger/etc. so it's not gonna be military but raider focused. Being chased by other cars, depending on how it's made would be interesting. a mad max feel. I play one off and on as it's still very fun and challenging to this day, though helicopters I feel are a bit overpowered in hardest, but sounds like an interesting concept! Will this even be a browser game due to how massive it sounds with ideas, would it push the limits for browser games or will this be the first you guys would make in an engine like unity?

The game has a great way of how the mechanics work together.
There isnt given any time to aim your gun, so you cant even do that.
Perception is straight where its most useful, helping not waste time by looking elsewhere.
Its all about getting out of there as quick as possible.
