I have always been interested in Oak Island since I first read about it as a second grader more than 40 years ago. I don't much believe in it anymore.
Fun video, and your accent is a lot like Geoffrey Hughes as Onslow, so it makes for great storytelling.

Ships of a fleet were damaged by war or a storm and put into Oak Island for repair. An area between the two islands was walled off and the water drained for access to the ship's hulls. Cargo and valuables were buried to protect them. They were recovered when the repairs were completed and the fleet departed.

I READ THE READER DIGEST AT MY GRANDPARENTS BACK IN THE EARLY 60S
SO ..MY GUESS IS THAT IS A SHIP REPAIR AREA
PORTUGUESE. KNEW HOW THEY KNEW HOW TO FIX. SHIPS
SO THEY HAD TO TAKE THEIR LOAD OFF
SO MAYBE NOT ALL THE LOAD WENT BACK ON THE SHIP
THAT WAS FOR ABOUT 200 YEARS
    THEN STEEL SHIPS

Its certainly open to many theories. For me, an initial landing spot for Templars on the run is as good as any.
