Just found your channel. Good honest stuff. Not bought and paid for, just telling the truth. The good and the bad.

When you recirculate the co2 media you need to add a moisture trap before the media . I find that I using a container filled with some coarse sponge will prevent the media from getting wet.

Im sure by now you've looked into a Co2 scrubber drain(moisture collector)

    8.0 - 8.2 PH isn't bad.

It's a Tideline Sump. Just another brand of Trigger Systems that Planet Aquariums sale. It is a 6 ft 75 gallon sump.

Just watched your video, and I want to say that you have the tubing connected to the scrubber backwards. I have the same set up and the tube from my skimmer cup is connected to scrubber port that is closest to the bracket on the ice cap scrubber.

@@queencityreefs yeah, I have the outer one connected to the skimmer lid part from Fish o hex. That way if there is any moisture getting pulled it goes into the bottom of the ice cap scrubber. A little bit of moisture at the bottom I have found actually helps with the pH. I did also have some extra tubing length and I have it go up higher that the level of the skimmer cup, it helps with keeping any extra moisture getting pulled to the scrubber (at least I am hoping that it is helping)

@@queencityreefs sounds good brother. I wanted to give this setup a good try before I went down the road of kalkwasser. I have this fear of waking up in the morning and having that cloudy white tank. So far it has taken my pH from 7.6 up to 8.1-8.3 and keeps it there. The reason for the extra tubing is because the ice cap scrubber is lower than the level of the skimmer cup.

Agree with this guy. I set mine up last night and I believe you should have the tubing reversed.

Wow, I have the same problem with my recirculating CO2 scrubber. I have the same attachment from Fish O Hex. I was getting tons of moisture in my co2 scrubber.

@@queencityreefs I read his comments. I don’t have the same CO2 scrubber. I turned a BRS dual reactor into a scrubber. I took off the skimmer adapter for now to see if I’ll get any better results. I’ll have to mess with it more this weekend.

@@queencityreefs I’m using the K1 kalk stirrer from avast. Love it so far. Definitely has helped my PH. I’m using it with my auto top off at the moment. Going to buy a Neptune Dos soon to dial it in better.
