Recipe 13:03: Olive oil 40%, Coconut Oil 20%, Palm Oil 20%, Cocoa Butter 5%, Castor Oil 5%, superfat is 5%. 10% Pine Tar is used. Make sure nothing gets too hot. Heat the oils just enough for them to melt.
I just made a batch using your instructions and it stayed smooth and fluid throughout. I was worried having seen other videos of nearly-seized pine tar batter. I can’t wait to cut it. Thanks!
I also tried this recipe and it stayed fluid all the way till I poured it in the mold and you right right about clean up too. Bowls washed up really well, thank you for sharing your recipe and a very informative video..
When I add my ingredients at the % you recommend on Soap Calc, all my numbers are the same EXCEPT the Saturated:unsaturated ratio on mine is 41:59 and yours is 36:64. How can it be different with the same oil % used?
Hi, I just discovered your channel, its always a pleasure to discover new soapers, my name is Patrick, great to meet you, this is beautiful, great job, i look forward to seeing more of your work..
Yes true. I agree with you.🌷 It's there in my forthcoming list of soaps. But it may take time as I have to make many other soaps as planned already. Sure I will try this method only when I make. Thanks for the idea.
I just went back and looked. Lol, me in all my hair bonnet glory! I am also a Twitch streamer so you can see me daily at www.twitch.tv/zqueenofrandom. It is a hobby I started during our quarantine.
Thanks for sharing this! I love using pine tar soap. My skin feels so good after using it. But it's always so challenging to make. Thanks again. You rock! 🤘🤘🤘🤘
Hi. Thank you for the amazing tips. Two questions. Does the batter reach a visible trace? It looks like it was very fluid. Second. I didn t see any mention about cleaning after pine tat as stated in the comments, neither did i find a video about the cutting. I am starting pine tar soaps next week :)
1. You can tell it is traced by dropping 2-3 drops of the batter on the surface. It is stays a bit, it is ready. 2. You just wash it with soap, it comes right out. The batter pot pretty much cleans with water. 3. Here is the cutting video: ruclips.net/video/6-69FUZAeRs/видео.html.

This is brilliant. I just had the best success with pine tar using your technique with my own recipe. It came out beautifully. Thank you!!
I'm so happy to hear that!
What’s your recipe? I’m trying pine tar tomorrow. 3 soap batch ever.
@@rossydv I use mainly canola for the soft oils and coconut and lard for the hard oils. Canola traces pretty slowly. So does lard.

@@fredmays5427 That is awesome!
10:55 Why not use a hand blender?
I may attempt this tomorrow third batch ever!
If you use a hand blender with pine tar you will have an instant brick that won't be pourable.
Thanks for sharing. Can this soap be used as a shampoo bar?
Yes you can!

Love love love the natural sounds
Can I use this method for Fragrance oils that cause seizing?
I don't think pine tar would be the medium for those. But my hot process method would work.
7:59 you’re obviously just eyeballing the pine tar?
I like higher pine tar amount. 15%-20%. Does a higher percentage cause higher acceleration?

Soapy Oaks Farm-Patrick Thank you!
Wow...that was a great idea to avoid thickening of the batter when we add pine tar. 🌸🌸🌸🌸TFS
It makes making pine tar soap a breeze!

Thanks for sharing. What percentage of Pine Tar did you use? Love and greetings from Pretoria, South Africa.
Hello! The recipe is in the video. 10%.
Do u have fumes when you use ice?
at 12:27 ....I can finally see you...!!!!!!!!!!!! Great job ...!!!

Hi, When do you add the FO. Thank you!
Hello! I did not add any fragrance to this. But you can add it to the two plain oils before you add the pine tar concoction.
What is the ideal temperature of oils to mix at? 100⁰F?
Try that. I usually stick between 80 to 114 degrees F.
thank you this is very helpful
You’re welcome!

Luv this soap nicely done. Do you mind sharing where you purchased your mold from.
Thank you! I believe I bought it from Workshop Heritage.

Can you add pine tar to a melt n pour soap base?
I don't know, sorry.
What size mold did you use?
Where can I find the recipe?
I believe I put it in the video.
I was unable to read the recipe at the end bc it was fuzzy. Is there somewhere else I can find your recipe?
Olive oil 40, coconut oil 20, palm oil 20, cocoa butter 5, pine tar 10, castor oil 5
Yes, that's the recipe. Thank you Jill.
What percent do you super fat at?
@@denneshaburke3875 5-7%.
I can smell that tar from here. I wonder if this recipe would work from shampoo bar. I need to see what the differences are. Thank you
Try it!
Is Spring Water fine ? A reason why Distilled water is used?
Guessing you need a disposable container for the oil/tar mix - left with a thick tar gloop - impossible to clean
Hi! If mixed at a warm temperature the container will be practically oil/pine tar free and easily washed.
fuck yes
