Thanks for posting this video. I haven't flown mine yet and I need confidence boosting watching it fly. I've been practicing landing heavier planes like my Seagull Ugly Stick at 9 lbs. The Pietenpol is closer to 30 pounds so I'm going to take my time.
Good day ! I have one not assembled yet,i live by the coast do you reckon i can go 35cc as i want a slow scale flyer. Your input will be appreciated Regards Louis
Good question. We watched the GoPro footage on the laptop and it was fine, really clear. When Fitz rendered the YT video, it didn't like converting the GoPro clips. We'll keep an eye on it next time.
What a sweetheart! ALL models should have pilots so that we have someone to blame for the inevitable airfield mishaps. I’d hold him responsible for the loose engine mounts too, if I were you! 😂👍
no, but it is a recommendation by the national modeling organization. I've seen many times these "cages" have saved someone from being hit by a wayward model.
Looks nice, but flies like it's way too heavy - (4lbs of nose weight too heavy?). Good engineering would dictate that they go back after the prototype and trim some of that weight aft of the CG. The result would have been a win-win - with at least a 5lb savings overall. I say this because it's kind of disappointing. If I want a fast model, I build a fast design. If I want a slow, graceful one, 9 feet of flat-bottom wing should be able to provide that.
That’s a good flying model! Seagull models makes some fantastic kits I have several in my hanger🤙🏽 happy flying!
I love your narration voice buddy! Well done!!
Very nice dead stick landing. Stuff happens.
Nice save!
Beautiful model. Hey, Lee!!!!! Great video, as always, Fitz.
Thanks.
Very nice, love the size, the looks and the sound!!!
Nice to see someone who understands the throttle.
I love the color scheme on that plane. It's beautiful!
It was great meeting you and the crew that day, Fitz! Beautiful bird.

Great build video Fitz!! Did you have to replace any of the included hardware?
Not that i recall. Just added some lock nuts to the cross strut on the fuselage
Very cool !!!!
Nice. Very, very nice…
Just ordered a tee shirt! Thanks for the content
Thanks so much!
one of my favorite youtubers!
2:18 wonky alert!! 😅
How would you compare this to the Bobber? Do you prefer one over the other?
Bobber is cooler looking in a way, but this one is larger with a better power to weight ratio.
Good day !

Why so much flicker in the drone footage as if shooting through propeller blades?
no idea. Not my drone.

He's been reprimanded.
Is it a rule in us to stay in cages?
no, but it is a recommendation by the national modeling organization. I've seen many times these "cages" have saved someone from being hit by a wayward model.
Great dead stick until you turned to sharp and had the prop bending like that. X(
