It’s cool to hear that Barking is still used by a few sports fans. I recently shared my history on another RUclips posting about Barking like what we all have heard from time to time. 35 or more years ago, 1988 or so, me and a group of Garfield High School recent grads and soon to be graduating students from the same high school in zip code 90022 East L.A. (from the movie Stand and Deliver) would go cheer on our Bulldog Mascot. We would Bark, “Ruff, Ruff” “Woof, Woof” in honor of the Bulldog. This was during 1985; 1986. Then, a major exposure was made in 1987, one of our barking pals joined the Garfield High School Marching Band at Dodger Stadium, they all start barking and it spread like wildfire. Then comedian Arcenio Hall adopts it to his T.V. Show. That’s my memory.
