    Man I really just enjoy seeing the Panzer 3s and 4s getting fielded against the older 76mm T34s its so nice seeing the original mainstay tanks slug it out.

    The Tiger was terrifying in 1942-43, but by '44 (when the game is set) it was already showing its age

      Tiger has extremely thick side armor, which means it could angle making its armor like 30% more effective. Which is not represented in the game.
      Panther was much worse in that regard because its side armor is very thin. Even shermans could easily pen it from the side.
      Of course in the game tankers have god vision and always turn towards the treat which means it is much less impactful than irl

      @@GrandSnow469 Actually, it is. The tiger has a frontal armor stat of 125 which is roughly how thick the armor is at its thinnest when angled perfectly. The front of the tiger without angling is only 100 mm thick which is much less than is stated in game.

      I suppose, but the gun was still quite deadly at the time. It feels very underwhelming in this game. Not even the armor, that is accurate

      ​@@Slender1870 tiger 1 ufp armor was roughly 115 mm thick because it is structurally angled at about 20° and crews tended to put tracks and extra armors plates on the bald spots frontally like the lfp, the sides and middle of the ufp, which considerably increased armor and survivability of the crew and hull as a whole

    As to the Tiger's armour, considering its frontal hull and turret were a completely flat 100mm thick, with a thicker mantlet, 125mm is rather appropriate (Tiger crews were trained to slightly angle their tank when possible, to increase the effectiveness of the armour) and definitely vulnerable to Soviets' 85mm.
    The main reason why tanks such as Tigers and Panthers would regularly defeat T34-85 at long range is notably due to the difference in optics

      Also better guns and ammunition. Afaik the reason for the SU to go so high in caliber was, that their ammunition was of bad to very bad quality.

      The gun is the bigger issue for me. Just fires too slow and is too inaccurate for that rpm

      in reality they were quite accurate, i would say that the game should at least give a better accuracy to the gun.@@atkpwrgaming

    That bombing strike at 42:35 is hillarious. Imagine landing a 500kg bomb right on top of an inf squad and it loses only 8hp. The building is destroyed but 2 soldier survive. There is not issue at all with time to kill inf in this game.

      I think TTK between infantry could be longer though.
      Only shorten the TTK for Infantry Versus anything else.

      I am happy with the ttk as well, I just think big bombs should consistently kill stuff. Maybe remove the fallback buff for bombs?

      @@atkpwrgaming That inf wasn't falling back. I think fall back should be nerfed and inf should die faster in general. It takes way longer to kill inf than to kill anything else. Tanks die in a couple of seconds to anything that can kill them. Inf takes ages to kill (except with high dps inf and surrender)

      @@mimile4462 Man, I don't know. The target audience of this game is not 15 years old with lightning reflexes. I think Long range inf on inf is kind of okay, CQB is def too short though.
      It is a fine balance.

      @@mimile4462units not sharing LoS immeditley could be a huge change to the game and could be a way to fix inf/tank/AT/planes balance. But not happening.

    The Tiger 1 was actually a very solid tank though by 1944-1945 they were already basically outdated as everybody had good responses to it. if the game was set in early war time period like 1942-1943 the tiger would basically be as effective as the King tiger is in SD2.

      I suppose, but it just feels underwhelming in killing ability despite the fact it could definitely kill anything on the battlefield at the time still

      @@atkpwrgaming honestly after looking at listed information for the thing apparently the rate of fire should be 10 rounds per minute but the game has it listed as 6? did they nerf the Tiger 1 at some point in the games past?
      then again the Sherman supposedly could achieve 20 rounds per minute and only has a rate of fire of 7 in the game so maybe they are just keeping cannon fire rates intentionally slow.

      Those two are incredibly different.

    Actually by 1944 the Tiger could be penetrated by t-34. Not due to weapon advances but because the Germans had run dry when it came to important parts of alloys.
    I forgot the exact stuff but I wanna say they say they ran out of mangan and some other stuff so their armor was now way more brittle and stuff.
    I don't understand the science behind it but both the Chieftain and the World War II channel mentioned this and they would know it.
    So, in 1944 t-34s could defo pen tigers from more than 500 meters.

    Question: If you look at any type of SP Vehicle that does not transport / vanish after transport, there is that orange and that white number on its side... 1. What do they mean? 2. I dont think I have seen those in my game, how do I enable it (depending on if its useful)?

      Great question! the top number is the penetration ability and the bottom number is the frontal armor value, useful for checking the headline stats. You can turn it on in the interface menu I believe

    A lot of the time in the game your seeing axis v axis stuff. With guns that can deal with them.

      @@atkpwrgaming well the tigers biggest advantage is it's range with the armor. In this match they were too close. If the tiger needs buffed, I think make it have better HE

    I really don’t like the RoF on the tiger too, they’re one of the faster firing ones IRL which should get at least 8~10 RoF. In terms of armor they actually got a tiny buff since they have ~110 IRL. The T-34-85s can kill the Tiger just fine.
    I think they should just give tanks their HE damage and adjust the price accordingly, IS-2 should get at least 6.

    The hetzer used to be my favorite unit... Until shermans started magic penning them at 1500meters consistently somehow. I haven't used them since :(

    played against the AI yesterday 2v2 hard - AI as ally. My PIATs took down about 12 tanks - Panthers, Stugs, Tigers - no miss from any range - insta kill each time. Possibly buffed now?
