I like your shooting cadence and stylized performance. Keep showing how you think and do so others can both learn and give feedback into the marketplace. Great point for example about full-optical-aiming taking extra time, energy, and safety as opposed to high headed or offset point shooting with both eyes open. Thanks to you for sharing your experience.
As a side note, the reason I watch these things is because I want to be a trainer and own a business doing on site training. I'm trying to soak it all up so anything you have.. I'm subbed.
I've been considering getting the hydra mount, and now I'm more tempted with the v2 that dropped. Did the company that made the knock off have the Eotech option or just the aimpoint footprint? Reason I ask is that when i emailed GBRS to see if my optic would work with the mount they weren't sure. I think the person I was speaking with at GBRS was a little confused/not familiar with the LCO. I have a Leupold LCO and didn't want to buy a expensive paperweight if it wont work with my optic/ir. The LCO is slightly shorter than the Eotech and I was worried that when my laser was mounted it would block my sight picture. So Id like to try the knock off first and see if it will even work.
@@kindastealthy8210 the aimpoint will fit any micro red dot foot print. And yes. Alot of knock offs make the eotech version. The knock offs are not bad at all, i even made a video on one (Check it out). I would say buying the real deal is worth it only because i support gbrs as a company. But you do you Cheers
@@PaWhiteTailHunter Well you just keep thinking it isn't a thing their cupcake!!! LOL. You shouldn't assume things! I use my laser all the time, but I also train passive in case my laser goes down!!! DA!!!
go with the OMM instead. Hydra was a prototype for the OMM really, gbrs just didn't know when they stole the design from the guy who basically invented both.
See you get alot of hate to settle this what are your credentials with CQB ie...military, police, swat, security, competition or do you strictly do airsoft and range. Just trying to figure out where your practical opinion is based off of. One statement you said going up against someone at night under a gas mask...people who do cqb professionally will get this....for your job that what you mean by professionally? or you guys gas up the airsoft range? You also running nvg with gas mask?
I did the same thing. I added a clone to my wishlist and my wife got it for me for my birthday. It came the same day I was heading out to play some airsoft with my buddy. I wish i had it before i went, but i came home and it was on the counter. What a crazy difference it makes. But theres NO WAY I'm buying the real one for $350.00. I too am cross eye dominant. Right hand left eye. The speed, and its right there at your eyeball. You're correct about the weight too. I can't wait to try it out next week. But I've been running dry fire drills like crazy, in kit. Good review. Subbed. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
@@Ghost-Op6 i run a 16inch rifle because i only have the one and the hydra works fine. But it all depends on what you use it for. CQB is what i mainly train for, but the hydra can hit out to 200yrds no problem. (Ar15s with red dots shouldnt be shooting past that anyway). I would say for an all purpose one, do a unity 2.6 fast riser and a red dot with a magnifier. Or an lpvo with a standard mount
Ppl need to realize it’s only for CQB. Longer barrels greater distance shots you don’t want this height over bore really translates over the distance you should get lower mount optics if your rifles isn’t for CQB/home defense
Get a irregular defense mount. Dont have to overpay for it and it’s more modular and made with better materials. No real reason to go with this besides if you want GBRS on ur mount or aesthetics. Cheers

@lsx646 so you are not only finacially irresponsible, but also negligent by shooting and drinking. Also "working" at a range doesnt mean you can shoot. 🤙

Good job explaining the benefits! I run the Hydra on my night gun and it's the best mount for passive shooting under night vision.
