- Playing the second mission of the campaign in the Age of Mythology Retold Beta.
The Beta is running from the 12th till the 14th of July.
PS: I can't remove the text bumping around in the screen, that is done by the developers(i assume) for the beta.
2ndPS: I am not a pro or good player at all, i simply enjoy the game lol
Bro, the OG arkantos's voice icannot be replaced
It's just a voice, they don't want to leak any real voice over and new content yet. It's beta for a reason.
@@spectrolite9986 no I don't think so, the beta is for the content not the voices, so beta is to see if there are any glitches, bug, fixes that needs to be adressed not voices and voice actor, the voices are final.

@@Sone01TheFirst it's not even an argument, so stop delusioning. It's friendly chat to understand concept between both parties. Sometime in beta they will use placeholder and make a huge changes in the final version and thats how game developer usually does. You bookmarking and laughing about a small chat is a childish behaviour, so grow up whimp.
@@bensrhirsalah5650 so if its final mark of their voices that means we won't be hearing the original voice is kind off a minor downgrade like we grew up hearing such a nostalgic voices, mostly like Arkantos, Ajak, Amanra, Chiron and Gargarensis. I don't have much care about the unit voices but the main are the center of the attention. I hope final version delivers the best as can't wait to play it.
All we complains is only about voices, except that everything is so Improved.
Kamos's voice acting makes me FEAR what they did to Gargarensis :
The visuals are greatly improved, but the new voice cast sadly lack the gravitas of the original, even if they sound more authenticly Greek..
I recommend a mod or built in option feature of the developers for the option to swap between old and new voice actors.
Otherwise a mod that reintroduces the old voice actors available for whomever wants them would be a god send too.
In this regard. They actually would suit the new graphics vibe even more than the classical graphics.

I'm sad, they should modify a little more the game
The new voices suck. How can they nail them in Age of Empirss 4 and other similar games like Total War Warhammer do amazing fantasy voices for monsters, men, demons and such. I wish they'd put in more care with the voice acting. It was okay in 2000 but this is pathetic in 2024. Saying all that keeping the classic voices was a really good idea, but all the stuff they updated and added should have been spot on great.

I wouldn't worry about the voices: This is the Beta! According to what I've heard, these voices are AI Placeholders! They said that they'll have actual Voice Actors voice the game.
@@MALEMization I hope so, but in other languages the VA has the same problem of flat acting, so it's hard to believe that all of these voices are place holders

@@MALEMization No, these are the actual voices. The placeholder was for the demo that was leaked about a month ago, and it wasn't AI. These are actual voice actors that they hired to use Greek accents.
