The actual turret of the t14 is very small and low profile. Most of the visible turret is actually unarmored housing for the sensors and other equipment added on. The weird shape is mainly there to reduce radar cross section.

T-14 Armata 2A83 152mm gun. The gun has been tested however it will be retrofitted at a later time once logistics aren't so strained is what I assume is the reason for not fitting it yet, as it was desgined for a 152mm
Probably won't be adopted until the T72's and T80's are mostly gone. The 152mm has been around for awhile, and sabot for it is actually pretty old, but Russia has so many 125mm guns and vehicles that use them that it wouldn't make sense logistically to field the 152 until most of them are retired.
@@92HazelMocha Yeah, once their 125mm vehicles slowly die out they will make that change. You are thinking of the Object 292 (T-80B with 152mm) which has been around since 1990. They would almost certainly make a brand new round should they put the 152 into production

Hey Cap, can you make a tactical simulation where a flight of F-35s (2 with bombs and 2 with air to air loadouts) and they have to bomb a target from high altitude while being protected by loyal wingmen? I think this would be a better test for loyal wingmen than the previous wargames because this time, Red Air actually has to hunt the blue fighters instead of just waiting for the drones to lose fuel. I think the humans should also do actual combat because drones and manned fighters are meant to fight together after all, not just the drones. As for tactics, maybe you can try different vectors of attack like maybe split up into two groups so if the enemy finds and attacks one group, the other can ambush them. You should also actively turn on and off the drones' kill mode to prevent them from wasting all their missiles. Thanks!

Hey Cap, Since tanks are vulnerable without infantry support, and many CAS missions occur on the battlefield, is it possible to setup a mission where GR is supporting infantry in several different ways. Things like troops in contact and rolling support across an objective are very common. During the Iraq war, we would use Humvees to move quickly between buildings on an airfield or other large objective, and assault the buildings after aircraft had completed a strike on the target. I don't know if DCS would support this kind of mission.
Top down normally works on armor so well due to the LACK of armor thickness on the top. Most armored vehicles aren't built to take "top down" shots from enemy vehicles, resulting in any armored vehicle able to fire a "top down" weapon to get an advantage. The only problem with this is that it also means the vehicle firing the "top down" weapon MUST be careful about when they fire it. Too far away and the weapon might fall short or miss the track, resulting in a more "side hit" than "top hit". Too close and it may not be able to steer enough to go "top down". It also means that you normally end up with a piece of hardware that ITSELF is subject to being hit and damaged, making it un-usable in combat. Obviously, this is something that everyone who makes armored vehicles are aware of... but they STILL have to take into account the additional weight effecting the overall performance from stability to reliability. As well as the issue of focusing effective armor "over the whole vehicle" (sides/front) vs the COSTS of reinforcing armor weakspots (back/top)

Not a single branch in us defence managed to get it's recruitment goals kid, shows who is hating their job.
T-14 Russias claimed specs vs. reality 🤣
In your fictional reality, in which your opinion means something, or in reality, in which you are empty space?
Lazerpig does a glorious takedown of the T-14 Armata.
😂😂😂
How you managed to miss recent LazerPig debunk? His "takedowns" are just his silly imagination.
Too bad 3/4 of the video is an ad and the rest is just him rambling and not getting to the point
And RedEffect proves Lazerpig doesn't know a thing.
Ah yes T-14 cardboard armor with wooden turret.
A company of T-14s completely smashing a company of Leopard 2's at close range with almost no losses? Sounds absolutely reasonable, just like the Russian Ministry of Defense says.
Like the two S400 sites taken out this week in Crimea.
@@superflyguy4488 Still not confirmed if the most recent was an S400 or S300, but regardless, destroying a single TEL isn't destroying a battery.
@@comareborn8734 Drones where used to drain the missiles then neptune hit the vehicles, in total in recent weeks its 2 x S400 and 1 x S300. Western Crimea with no long range sam net and no fleet coverage is being prepared for a seaborne incursion/landing. Everybody is looking at the advances South to severe the land bridge, nobody is looking at mainland Western Crimea itself.
@@superflyguy4488according to muppets like you Russia went out out of EVERYTHING last year. So all the bombs and missiles that are turning ukies to pieces have finished their trip to space and came back now.
Way more reasonable then your delusional djouw fantasy you defend
I suggest to try how high Russian turrets fly in dcs. Devs should take those now avaible real life data in account. Low flying Russian turrets are the main areal threat in current wars. So keep in mind pilots. Dont worry about Sam or AAA. Watch out for that low flying t72 turrets
Have you seen the videos from ‘Brady Square’ yet?
I suggest you should buy a brain because most of those turrets come from ukitanks that your media claims are Russian. Now that leo2 are getting destroyed you can't say it's a Russian tank anymore. Even though british media clearly stated that a "Russian tank gets hit by ukrainiandrone" when the video shows a leo 2a6 getting hit by a lancet 3.
You need to watch lazerpigs video about the t-14 and I get that he could be wrong but it’s very rare that that happens as he provides a source for most of his arguments
Did you missed how recently several highly respected military youtubers proved than LazerPig is just an angry trash talking kid? And most of his "sources" are just his own imagination.
LazerPig managed to put his childish anger even on Chieftain.
Lzerpigs videos are too hard to watch, he is so boring and says such stupid things
You are delusional and a buffon for being so naive and believing that.
Are you playing dumb about the Armata? Or are you really that far out of the loop?
Hes that far out of the loop
t 14 is not even a real production tank. And none of the hard kill protections are even mounted on the t14s we seen in videos..
Lel Armata, its to much prototype. It probably would die on the battlefield
There's a reason it hasn't made it to one😂
Died on parade already...
Lol T14 is a vaporware...
So is NGAD but its fun to blow up
Just for extra news, a Ukrainian Neptune just took out a Russian S-400 sight.
Yup pretty impressive.
A single TEL isn't an entire battery btw.
T-14 doesn't exist
How did the t14 not break down upon spawning
