I totally like you just saying--- "yeah, it's good, just not my thing". That's actually way more helpful than pretending otherwise. It provides a type of baseline or orientation as we get familiar with your own personal tastes.
I’ve only recently started watching your channel, but wanted to say I think you have a pretty balanced, realistic and objective point of view on all things VR
Matteo, just want to say I truly enjoy your content format brother. it’s all very nicely condensed and neat flow of commentary. Appreciate the updates as always!
I picked up Riven on Steam. It came with the original, and the remake is playable flat or vr, which is sick. For the most part, it looks incredible, but there are some places where the shadows kinda freak out or look super blocky. There's also a bug that causes a crash when trying to leave the submarine car, but using air link gets around it for now. The 7th Guest and Myst both made a huge impression on me as a little kid, and getting to revisit both of those in vr has been such a treat too. That might be why I love puzzle games so much, lol
He’s underselling VRider by a big margin imo. It’s by far the best native racing game for the platform and is the only semi ‘serious’ racing game at all. As someone who has owned sport bikes and taken them on the track, the controls are actually surprisingly realistic. You can offset your head from the bars to shift your weight in the bike. It’s great. Other nice details include increased buffeting and wind noise when not behind the windscreen. You can pop up when decelerating and use wind resistance to slow you. If you are a fan of motorcycle racing, it’s the best thing the genre offers in VR period. The sense of speed is great and it never drops a frame.
Now that you've tried Vracer, you should try Downtown Club. While it's not to the level of GT7, for standalone, it's pretty damn close. Vracer I ender up returning because I couldn't see myself playing long hunched over with the conrollers out like that but I'm still glad mechanics are evolving to mimic real world physics.
I really appreciate these overviews. It helps me keep up and if I see something I'm interested in I can go search it out. Otherwise I'll be fair, I just wouldn't keep up to the level you are. So a big help! I do love survival world games, as it's not your thing please keep touching on them. I don't really need to know if you loved it (probably not, not being a genre you enjoy) but your clips again provide a pointer to me.
I never enjoyed survival games, but then I played The Forest in VR/co-op (and then Raft, Valheim, 7 Days to Die, etc.). Playing these games in co-op is critical for me, otherwise I get bored with, say, collecting wood or something. If you have one or two other people it greatly cuts down the grind in unwanted areas and you can kind of branch out on your own in terms of how you approach the game. Have you ever gotten a chance to play through a survival game with a consistent group?
@Gamingwithmatteo311 First, I’m really liking your videos. I’m recently returning to VR with the meta quest 3. I had the first PSVR, which was decent but a pain to get set up and ended up making me sick with most games. Anyway, regarding Riven on MQ3, is there any way to improve the graphics? For me the opening scene with that guy showing the book was the best. Everything after that is much more pixelated than I expected. I was expecting graphics along the lines of Red Matter 2.
I'd definitely like to see more games holding off on release till it's ready, instead of launching in glitchy states. I've had games that I played at launch, sucked, and never touched them again even after they were patched and fixed.
I've been thinking about grabbing cosmic cluck for a while. I got stilt for a dollar, lol. I played a bit. I'm pretty disappointed with Riven. I didn't grab it but a lot of people are saying it looks horrible. Some people are saying they can't even finish it because the poor graphics make some puzzles impossible.
I just wanna say I’m fine with AI and it’s a great tool, but for your thumbnails it doesn’t look too good. I can’t even really tell what the video is about.
I watched someone play Cosmic Cluck and the chicken was just too annoying for me. I've been looking forward to Riven for a long time but the Vrider game isn't one I heard about. It looks like a really fun racing game.
@bigbangerz5856 you are miss understanding. Riven doesn't just have lower quality graphics on quest like normal it also has glitches, texture popin and performance issues
Riven is always perfectly logical. If it seems it is not it’s only because you missed some clues. The game is a true masterpiece of puzzle integration in the story and environment. This is objective. The game can be boring or disappoint you if you are not into the genre, but it is a game design pearl. Sorry for issue it has on Quest. PC VR is way better.
I'm a big fan of platformers, but Stilt just didn't do it for me. I find that the level design was lacking creativity throughout the game, everything else was great though. The game is released on Steam and PSVR2, so I'm sure that it's just a matter of time before it goes to the official store! Great overview on the other games! I was curious about them.
I feel like im in that mindset right now where as much as I hate to say it, vr is starting to lose me as far as what excites me. There's just not enough BIG games. Im SO excited for aliens, batman and behemoth.
I have been totally disgusted by the appallingly low amount of attention received by Riven VR. The game is a real Gem in the world of VR and must be praised at every opportunity, just like HL:Alyx was a while ago. No, I am not being biased, I've never been Cyan's fan or played their original games, but someone ready to recognize a masterpiece of VR gaming when I see one. EDIT: talking about PCVR, not the Quest version.
@mitcherny6965 it's a shame that 95% of the VR content creators out there (including Matteo) are all reviewing the Quest version, when the SteamVR version is much less buggy. I speculate that the reason could be that Cyan sent out review copies only for the Quest version?
Why is practically every VR content creator review of Riven for the Quest version, when the Steam version is much better optimized, especially considering that many Quest users can stream from their PC? I wish Matteo would have added a qualifying statement "…or maybe check out the SteamVR version if you have a VR gaming PC" at the end of his Riven segment. Ratings on Steam are 93% positive with a thousand votes at the moment, and I really enjoy playing Riven in my Pimax Crystal.
These days access to quest games is so much easier. Studios don't always respond or are reluctant to send out early access but meta gives many of us, early access to almost everything. Also the vast majority of VR gamers are on Quest so its more relevant
So many types of games youre not a fan of. Why are you reviewing games that you already dont like? I compare you to a movie reviewer that doesnt like sci-fi or dramas. Useless.
@robgifford3766 90% of the comments say the opposite. They're glad I mention my specific tastes as it adds context. Prime examples, I'm not a fan of souls like games yet I put 100 hours into elden ring and think it's great
Only cool people like, comment and subscribe!

7th guest yes topnotch. I liked what they did to it.
Thanks for covering vrider think il buy it and give it a go this weekend to wet in the uk to get out on my bike so this might scratch that itch

I just want multiplayer VR games that I can play with my daughters. I look forward for devs to use the mixed reality capability.
The juices are flowing that’s for sure
Great honest reviews! I’m looking forward to Riven.
Stilt is a sleeper. Expectations were low, but wow, it's just pure silly fun.
i feel like that motogp game would go crazy with an actual set up lol considering the lean mechanic.
Good, honest, review. Deeply appreciated.

The devs need to fix it
You should try Paintball Playground. It's both on Quest and PCVR. ( Still being worked on though, in Alpha ).
Hi Matteo, what headset would you recommend, I'm still rocking the Old G Vibe 1 in 2024 and I'm thinking of upgrading.
Anything is an update at this point compared to the vive. Honestly you can't beat the value of the quest 3
Thank you for yet again a cool vidéo, please please try cyberpunk vr mod
I love puzzle games, tryed PC version of Myth. So hard and imposibble.
I'd definitely like to see more games holding off on release till it's ready, instead of launching in glitchy states. I've had games that I played at launch, sucked, and never touched them again even after they were patched and fixed.

Its the new cancer of youtube. Lots of ai thumbnails and AI written manuscript. (Not saying this is).

It's really good but needs work

I might take a look at Riven, tbh all Quest games look retro if you’re on board with that its fine it a limitation of the platform
It's not about looking retro. It's glitches, texture pop in and stutters
@@Gamingwithmatteo311 to you, to me its retro like n-3 graphics compared to modern games

On what though, what did you test it on? Yes we all know Quest has downgraded graphics it has to cos the platform has a fraction on the performance

Seems to be doing just as well as all their other recent games, but it was better critically received and will probably have longer legs.

Buy Riven on steam. It's a much btter version
Most vr players don't have a pc

PS2 graphics in 2024? Lol
