13 minutes of evening/sunset landings at YVR Vancouver

- Filmed in 2015 over SEVERAL nights between 5pm - 9:30pm from mostly June and a bit in July so i took the best of and put it together in this video. Filmed at Vancouver International Airport. So What Would Be Your Pick For Best Landing?

All these landings were great, but the Philippines A343 at 10:26 was definitely the best in my opinion. great job with the whole video!

Great video. I just recently visited Vancouver for a wedding and I live in London, England. I came here on an air Canada Boeing 777-300er and it was the captains last flight so they sprayed the plane with water cannons

It never seizes to amaze me how wide apart the Airbus A340 engines are. Looks weird but functions well.

I really liked the Eva Air 747-400.
Great Video! My favorite is definitely the first BA 744, but best landing goes to Philippines. The 2nd BA 744 definitely made the running though, just the A330/A340 always looks like it lands soft whereas the 744 not so much.

+delpillar Hi Randy, now I also have a Canon HF G30 (PAL), I notice that the stabilizer automatically switch off on tripod.. yours G30 does the same thing? I have a manfrotto MVH500AH since 1 year and it's really nice I'm satisfied of my videos, but yours are so perfect! have you a robust tripod?

Do you face situations when you come to the spotting place and wind suddenly changes its direction and they change direction of landings? I had one past sunday, it was the only day when Koreans sent 77W instead of A330, and thanks to the wind I didn't catch it.. I didn't even see it. I'm very upset..
Pulkovospotter yes that happens to me with the wind changing. for this video i purposely chose all the footage for a 26R landing to get the good angle of light from the sun.

It's pretty obvious for Korean Air, Philippines Airlines, Air China, etc. but for United Airlines, Delta, WestJet, and Air Canada it's difficult.

+Gencturk92 Banff is very pretty and vancouver is too! if edmonton and calgary arent that special unless you go to stamped week in calgary in the summer but yeah. The shuswap area of BC is something you should come to see if you come in the summer..Beautiful lake and beaches :)
