Plane Spotting in HEAVY Snow Storm at Vancouver YVR

A bloody cold evening at Vancouver International airport, with YVR's de-icing crew hard at work to clear snow and ice from aircraft's wings and fuselage. Also, a very special visit by YVR's snow convoy clearing snow off the runway for safe arrivals/departures.

She already had a mismatched cowl on both sides for almost two years, then became white last year, then grey again on the left from last weeks lightning strike. She was grounded in LAX for several days; an A330 was sent to rescue stranded pax.

For anyone who's interested in birds, that bird was likely to be a great blue heron. There's a species in the UK called grey heron :) they look very much the same as the ones found in america :)
