    Your awesome👍🏼
    I watched tons of videos & still unsure of how to install an air horn.
    Then you came to the rescue....there’s nothing negative to say about your video.
    I got past your accent within the first minute of the video.
    I love the way you did a wiring layout to explain the connection & direction of wires.
    Videos with American accent were still very unclear to understand the instructions.
    FYI something I’m sure you already know....I would put an in line fuse from battery to pin 30.
    WOW, I didn’t know you have so many videos!!
    You saved me so many headaches hahaha🤪

  • @stevelerch27

    I'm guessing the "Switch" is your old horn wire? The positive one that usually attaches to the old wimpy horn?

    • @vuaeco
      @vuaeco  7 лет назад +1

      No, I used a completely new circuit. I did try to use my old horn switch which is on the steering wheel but it burns the fuse immediately because the amp draw is too much. So I have to make a new circuit and install a higher amp fuse (20A) in it.

    • @nicholascroft520
      @nicholascroft520 7 лет назад

      Stephen Lerch yes exactly. It only takes 200mA to throw a relay. If he's burning out fuses, he has it wired wrong. You would essentially unplug your old horn and plug it into 85 & 86. With FUSED power to pin 30. Any other questions mate, just ask.

    • @rohanndutoit4544
      @rohanndutoit4544 2 года назад

      As Nicholas stated it is quite simple. I literally unplugged my old horn and threw the live on 86 and the ground on 85. Not too sure why it would be a problem. I must add from 30 to the battery I put a 20amp (no idea if sufficient) fuse in and it works like a charm. Was quite nice not to have to wire new ends etc. Hope that helps.

  • @dallaspilotcar9293
    @dallaspilotcar9293 5 лет назад

      That depends on how many amps your horn needs. But in general, if you have a high amp push power button (20A or more), you won't need a relay.

    Hi, I installed this on my car but the volume of the horn really really soft.. What could be the issue?

    • @vuaeco
      @vuaeco  6 лет назад

      Could be the pump. The pump has to pump fast enough air through the horns. If you don't have good flow of air through the horns, it will sound weak. There are a few reasons why this happens. Your pump might be defective, or your battery is too weak, or there's an air leak in the tubes.

    • @laurentcalkoen9203
      @laurentcalkoen9203 6 лет назад

      It sound is always consistently low volume.. Battery is standard 12V from a VW Tiguan 2018 model - is that okay? Don't they all work with 12V car batteries?? I Checked the pipes and they are okay.. Do you think the compressor pump is just a crappy weak one then? Get a new pump and try?

    • @vuaeco
      @vuaeco  6 лет назад

      I'd try a new pump and see if that's better. If you have a regular compressor (for pumping air into tires), you can try that.

    • @gabrielpichardo1492
      @gabrielpichardo1492 5 лет назад

      You are probably not using the relay correctly. When this happens it's because the pump needs power directly from the battery
