Great video dude! Instead of purchasing a new hose, I bought the aluminum heater core hose connector from Z1 for $35 to prevent this. I was a bit confused on how to bleed the coolant system and that helped too.
Glad the video helped
That also happened to me. Thought I blew a gasket with all the smoke lol.
Was your car okay? Just happened to me too. Had to pull over right away and got an overheat code.
Same thing happened to me, downshifted to pass a car and boom, white smoke everywhere. Thought I blew a headgasket. Didn't see any lights on and it wasn't over heating or running weird, but I pulled over as soon as I saw it. Got it limped home with a couple hose clamps and random aluminum tube I had. Just ordered the z1 aluminum piece so it actually fits.
What is the part number for the screw to the radiator drain plug you used. The one I bought of z1 doesn’t fit
45 minutes outside of Vegas at a free campsite looking at my broken heater hose that exploded after making it all the way from Grand Canyon :))
You didn't need to flush your coolant to replace that hose. You could've just replaced it and then bled the lines with a funnel at the radiator.
Wat about the connecter
Did your CEL come on when this happened?
No
I cannot for the fucking life of me get the hose off the engine side. 3 days I've been trying now cannot pull that mf off. How did you do it?
It was so long ago I don’t remember. Did you try cutting it?
Ewww automatic! But thanks for the video appreciate it.
Haha i know and glad to help
