I have chronic pain and have never looked at the pain drawing me closer to my Jesus. But from now on I will seek Him when I’m hurting. Not to ask Him to take it but to be with me and to allow it to bring me closer to Him. I have always used pain medication but have asked Him to take those. I don’t want to be dependent on anything but Jesus. Thank you Joni. You help many people and I’m blessed because of you sharing your walk with Jesus. God bless you and your husband. I’m excited to meet you in Heaven when we all get Home. ❤

Thanks so much for this, Joni. I have lived with pain for most of my life (leg amputation at age three, many surgeries, removal of other organs, 9 diagnosed diseases, and 19 years of fibromyalgia to the point where I am now bedridden). I always tried to disassociate from my body's pain to escape it, and hated it and often planned how to permanently escape this instrument of constant torture. But over the past year, Jesus has been visiting me in daily visions, and he has gradually taught me to not disassociate from my poor, suffering body, but to stay with her and love her and bear the pain with her. When I am in great pain and look into his eyes, I see my own pain reflected there. He too voluntarily enters into my pain, and bears it with me. He holds me and comforts me, and constantly tells me that all suffering and pain in this life, when yielded to him, will one day be transformed into glory, and the greater the suffering now, the greater the glory then. As a being outside of time, he has also told me that my future self in heaven is cheering me to hold on, for all that I am going through now will one day be worth more than I could ever comprehend. He has become my best friend and closest and dearest companion in my isolation and loss and suffering, and I would never have come to know him in this precious way had I not had to live with this pain and yield my suffering to him.
Thanks you for your beautiful, deep inspiring words! He already works the everlasting glory IN you, deeply routed. How I wished you didn't have to suffer. Still He is THERE..

My pain has drawn me closer to God! Lo9king back, God was the Victor and He reminds me that is a purpose for my pain! I am so thankful for it because God always stood with me! Oh how I love Jesus! He will never renigs on his promises. I hang on to each one!
This morning, when pain hit my knee, I praised God. And pain in the other knee this afternoon, I initially whined a bit, then I stopped and thanked God, knowing that all things, even bad things, make us more like Jesus. 🙌💗🕊
It was meant for me to come across this video tonight. Today has been a day of so much pain. After 30 years of quadriplegia, I have so much bone deterioration the pain is unbearable sometimes. But, as you say Joni, although the pain may not go away, God can grant me peace within it. And yes, although I may be pressed on all sides, I will not be crushed because He is with me giving me the strength to endure.

I have cried with you, prayed with you, studied my Bible with you, celebrated artistic endeavors with you and look for Jesus to return with you still on your RUclips videos! I first learned of the challenges of pain when I got bit by a tick carrying Lyme's disease. You showed me the way of the suffering child of the Lord. My life has been rich and fulfilling taking your strength in the Lord as a characteristic worth emulating. I am your sister through out Lord. I wrote you a letter with a poem I wrote inspired by an article of yours in a newsletter called, "Diamonds in the Dust". You wrote me back, saying you were happy the Lord used your words for His blessings to others. I have given that poem away to people many times, never wanting to make money from a gift from the Lord--and you! Thank you, Joni, for your beautiful words, artwork, and ministry of the Lord! Dearest Joni, I was looking many stories of the Torchlighters this week. Wonderful true life stories of men and women who were martyred for the gospel.. And the question most people will ask is why did God not stop their suffering.. But you know not one denied their love for the Lord even untill death and each one has untill today an impact on other people's lives.. I saw your movie a few times as well as seeing you on TV and RUclips. I am so, so sorry for your pain, you are one of the best modern day examples of a true disciple and Christ follower and your story is also reaching far beyond you will ever know.. Like the others only after death the full impact of your testimony will be known. ❤

The pain that afflicts me is emotional. See the name next to mine in my handle? He hasn't been with me for 13 years, and I still miss him so much! Unfortunately, all the friends we made in our community have died as well. I was younger than all of them. All my life, my heart's desire was to be married and have children and grandchildren, and grow old together. Although we prepared for retirement and his was only 5 months away, my husband never got to retire. I do not know how to "live" with this, to be content. I'm grateful to God for so much, so many things. But every day waking up alone... with a broken heart...

I first learned of the challenges of pain when I got bit by a tick carrying Lyme's disease. You showed me the way of the suffering child of the Lord. My life has been rich and fulfilling taking your strength in the Lord as a characteristic worth emulating. I am your sister through out Lord. I wrote you a letter with a poem I wrote inspired by an article of yours in a newsletter called, "Diamonds in the Dust". You wrote me back, saying you were happy the Lord used your words for His blessings to others. I have given that poem away to people many times, never wanting to make money from a gift from the Lord--and you! Thank you, Joni, for your beautiful words, artwork, and ministry of the Lord! Your wings may have been clipped but you are every bit an angel in my eyes! Love You. Will send you a fresh copy of the poem. Meet you when Jesus takes us home!

Dearest Joni, I was looking many stories of the Torchlighters this week. Wonderful true life stories of men and women who were martyred for the gospel.. And the question most people will ask is why did God not stop their suffering..
But you know not one denied their love for the Lord even untill death and each one has untill today an impact on other people's lives..
I saw your movie a few times as well as seeing you on TV and RUclips. I am so, so sorry for your pain, you are one of the best modern day examples of a true disciple and Christ follower and your story is also reaching far beyond you will ever know.. Like the others only after death the full impact of your testimony will be known. ❤

The pain that afflicts me is emotional. See the name next to mine in my handle? He hasn't been with me for 13 years, and I still miss him so much! Unfortunately, all the friends we made in our community have died as well. I was younger than all of them. All my life, my heart's desire was to be married and have children and grandchildren, and grow old together. Although we prepared for retirement and his was only 5 months away, my husband never got to retire. I do not know how to "live" with this, to be content. I'm grateful to God for so much, so many things. But every day waking up alone... with a broken heart...
