FWP Madam Mulberry is one of my absolute FAVORITES! It reminds me of a muted purple/gray and when I write it writes light and then gets darker as it dries and it’s mesmerizing as I’m writing 😊
I love paintbrush swatches. I have a kakimori as well and usually do a paintbrush blob and then write the info/make some varying width lines with the kakimori. I know the brush doesn’t tell me much about it in the pen but I just love the look and crinkle. Even though more cleanup. But any way you want to swatch here I’ll be watching! I love your taste in ink and soothing voice! (and your stickers!)
Thank you B! I also love the look of the swatch from a paintbrush, especially since I now use the inks for painting. And thank you so much for the kind words!
These are beautiful colors. I like the Kakimori dip pen swatches more than the brush ones. It’s a more accurate view of what the ink will look like when writing.
I have a sample of the Moss green park. Love green inks. The Lady Rose in gold is stunning. I will have to settle for the regular one (which is on the way). I also have Madam Mulberry and I love it. It is such a beautiful muted purple(ish) color. The blue I have never seen before and it is beautiful. Have fun with these colors.
Thanks Priscilla! I can't wait to use these - FWP do great variations in their colours, and some have been more wet than others. I'm looking forward to using Madam Mulberry!
Your videos are always so relaxing. You may wish to consider getting something to hold sample vials upright. There are many cute or practical alternatives. I often use an empty J. Herbin ink bottle -- the square one with the little pen stand holds vials perfectly, and I buy them from any retailer that sells empty ink bottles. A cheap trick is to use an adhesive tape dispenser turned on its side. Some people use single toothbrush holders or candlestick holders. And a crafty friend made me some out of twisted wire and beads. Of course, someone handier than me can drill holes into a wooden stand. Regarding your question -- I have a Kakimori brass dip pen too and really enjoy it, but I think the swatches made with a paintbrush look better.
Marilyn, you're a genius. I have a scotch tape dispenser and it is not a perfect fit but will do for now! And thanks for your input - after some introspection, I do enjoy the paint brush swatches better. Thank you!!!

I just found your channel and I'm instantly hooked! ☺️💕 Lady Rose was the very first bottle of fountain pen ink I ever bought. I must have been living under a rock when FWP released Lady Rose in Gold, I totally missed out on that one and it was sold out everywhere by the time I found out about it. The lovely people at my favourite pen shop suggested trying a Pennonia liquid shimmer additive to replicate it. They recommend adding 1-2 drops to every 5ml of ink. I haven't tried this yet but I'm keen to give it a go.
That's a good idea - I've heard of other people doing that to their inks. I have a friend who experiments with mixing different inks all the time and the results are amazing! Thanks for watching!
I’m not sure about the swabs. I am also trying to figure out the best way. But I find that the fountain pen is always different than my cheap glass pen. Is the dip pen more like a fountain pen for writing samples?
Karyna would you want to want to do an ink swap with me? 🥰 I’m in the US but I would absolutely love to have you as an ink swap pen pal Xo Blakeley Shea
I meant to say swap ink samples 😊 as I’m fairly new to the fountain pen and ink world but would love to try out different inks. I do have a good stash for a beginner I must say lol but nothing like yours, I drool every time I watch your ink swatch videos ❤
What a lovely gift! ❤

I 3d printed an ink vial holder and it's LIFE changing for swatches and filling pens!
stunning inks! the mulberry one looks like a purple tinted gray to me

I totally get that. I know that I also use the fountain pen inks for painting so it will be nice to have a mix of both.
I love the brush swatches better. I really like your videos!!!
Thanks for watching, Teresa!
I believe that should be Moss Park Green which is a little park in downtown Toronto. FWP makes some great looking inks. Thanks for the reviews.
Thank you!
I’m so jealous! I’ve been wanting Lady Rose in Gold so bad! It’s sooooo hard to find 😢 it’s absolutely stunning!
nice colors. I prefer the brush swatch more, as it shows more complexity. The writing shows what it looks like when in use for that :)
I totally agree!
Pretty pretty colors!
Need to paint with them!
Hi Karyna, I'm really enjoying your channel. Your swatch book is beautiful. Would you consider doing a flip through of it, if you haven't already
Hello! Yes I hope to do one at the end of the year once I have finished it!
@@KarynaLovesToPlan I'm already looking forward to it ❤

The dip pen is never going to be exactly the same as a fountain pen, in terms of thickness and flow. But it is nice for sampling inks.
