Plumber here, be careful with those toilet cleaning tablets, they often contain chemicals that can damage your toilets as well as your plumbing systems, that product is unique in the way it will keep the cleaner away from the rubber seals in your toilet tank which is a good thing but it still could potentially damage other parts of your drainage system especially if you have a septic tank
Yeah, there is even a sticker inside just about every toilet tank NOT to use any cleaning agents in the tank for this reason. It will void the warranty too.

When we first got it my husband and I played with it for like an hour just dumping water on it watching it disappear but it’s a weird feeling under your feet when you get out. And because it’s hard if you drip water anywhere around it you can’t use your feet to push it around the dry the water on the floor like you can with a regular bath mat. And a I have a 4 year old so I have to kneel by the tub to wash her and it killed my knees even with a towel over it. I’m sure it works for some people but it wasn’t my favorite.

I use that shower thingy next to my kitchen sink. It’s AMAZING! I’ve had it for 3 years and it’s super absorbent. I can wash a glass, leave it flat upside down to dry and it dries perfectly. And it’s far prettier than those ugly plastic or wire rack things.

To everyone saying their algae matt gets moldy over time...yall need to do two things, glue some silicon feet on it so it can level better onto the ground, it gains a couple of millimiters of clearance from the floor and become more slip resistant and yall also need to turn in a fan or something after the shower because if the bathroom is not well ventilated it'll get super moisty and it'll be a bacteria/fungi paradise. Bathmat cool, overusing chemicals in water because of laziness would be a no for me. They also affect the soft lid in the water chamber eventually and can cause a running toilet and high water bill according to our plumber.

For the toilet one, just spray cleaning product every 2-3 days if you're alone and clean once weekly. If there's 2 or more of you in the house, spray every 1-2 days depending on the situation and clean 2-3times a week
We have stone bath mat like that. Weve been using the same one for two years and still looks new. No smells or stains and everyone is still healthy. I have it under my dish rack on my counter and in my bathrooms.

The mats Ive used them before they grow mold quite easily so we’ve just used normal mats n if used over a period of time it doesn’t work as much so you’re just stuck with a puddle of water over it n for me it lasted a couple of months so b careful
The toilet thing uses clorine pucks which may damage the internals of your toilet, degrading them over time. Also makes your bathroom smell like a pool.

Ok, really weird question: are those tablets for the toilet.... Food safe? My cat loves drinking out of the toilet (while we have a full refilling water fountain and a full bowl of water we change daily)
Of course you could easily just close the lid on the toilet, but I do NOT trust my parents to do that

The toilet is ALWAYS clean. It is great
For the toilet one, just spray cleaning product every 2-3 days if you're alone and clean once weekly. If there's 2 or more of you in the house, spray every 1-2 days depending on the situation and clean 2-3times a week

We have stone bath mat like that. Weve been using the same one for two years and still looks new. No smells or stains and everyone is still healthy. I have it under my dish rack on my counter and in my bathrooms.
If you own pets you can’t get that last one unless you want them to die

As someone who did plumbing, that toilet thing is genius. Way better than putting powder or tablets into your tank so it can deteriorate your rubber seal

I saw the stone slip as he walked off of it. Last thing you need fresh out of a shower is to have your bath mat of all things sliding under you. Furthermore water doesn't magically go away, which means it is absorbing it. If it is holding that much water it becomes a mold factory.

i pretty much always get splash back on the deuce. cleaning chemicals always in the water sounds like a good way to start shtting blood all the time.
