TWIN RING MOTEGI!!! Probably one of my favorite type of Super Speedways (mostly from Gran Turismo) and to see Twin Ring Motegi get the NASCAR treatment even before I was born just puts a smile on this NASCAR fan. They NEED to go back to Twin Ring Motegi.

@@marvinlinnarz5856 I agree. People who say that are usually F1 or MOTOGP fans, I get the sports are prestigious, but that doesn’t make other sports any worse!
The NASCAR Thunder races were largely responsible for Big E's fanbase exploding in Japan. The racing magazines of the time gushed over him because he loved Suzuka and he was also a fan of Ayrton Senna, who was a superstar in Japan before his untimely death. Sr. had been on record as wishing that they could have raced on the full Suzuka Circuit in the first Thunder race instead of the short East Course. These were always my favorite races because it showed that there was a lot of respect and appreciation for NASCAR outside of the US.
It's cool seeing T-Birds with Tauruses! Plus some of the T-Birds had headlight decals too which was uncommon and I wouldn't think they'd get those since the car was outdated, but really cool nonetheless.
Me too. I wish NASCAR would race at the Twin Ring Motegi oval track again because NASCAR races at oval tracks mostly except Sonoma and Watkins Glen and the Charlotte Roval track. I wish also they would return to Suzuka Circuit for a points paying race on the east course there.
It's so funny watching this because if I didn't know any better, it looks like any other speedway in the US, but it's Twin Ring Motegi in Japan, so cool, and you can see the underpass for the road course as the finish line for that is behind pit lane! Such a cool concept of having 2 race tracks in 1 spot compared to Indy/Daytona's road courses. Too bad it will never host F1 :( along with Autopolis, Okayama, a former F1 host in Fuji, Sugo, and Takachi.
I'd love to see the Gen 7 cars here. Actually, I'd like to see Super GT run an event on this course. I mean, the Autobacs Yankee 800 would be an endurance event worth watching and it would be a bit of an oddball event, like when NASCAR runs on dirt.

that is hilarious to think about now that you've brought it up. nascar and isc/smi spent millions upon millions turning all of their tracks into the same d shaped layout. meanwhile, honda spent $400 million to basically make a flat version of darlington. even in that respect the japanese out thought us, lol

This actually seems like a great track. Wide, long turns but low banking requiring great brake and throttle control.
