Robby Gordon spinning coming onto pit road and doing a little burnout to get going has been etched into my mind for almost 20 years, It happened in right in front of us in the Pearson Tower. I was 10 years old and it was so loud and cool. Never saw the broadcast until now and it's exactly how I remembered.

Especially in this Gen 4 car. I feel like this car generated the best racing. No tapered spacer, no carbon fiber body, still had an H pattern gearbox, and certainly no compound needed on the tracks to create multiple grooves.

Someone tell NBC they did a really good job calling this race. They need to watch the tape for current broadcasts
    1. They did way more through the fields
    2. They show more screen time to cars throughout the field
    3. More driver stories about their lives and off track stuff
    4. Good telemetry

Terry was my dad and I's favorite driver. He and my dad were born just days apart in Corpus Christi, TX. Watching this race brings back great memories for me as a kid. Was very lucky and dad took us to dozens of races in our motorhome. He would bribe staff at the track and got us to meet most of the drivers and get autographs. Sometimes I forget how much he did for me as a kid.

This meant SO much to me. I was 13 yrs old at the time, and had been a fan since i was 5 yrs old (1995), so for him not to win from the time i was 9 until 13 felt like FOREVER. It really made my world for a solid few weeks if not months after that, i was on cloud nine. Still brings a tear to my eyes remembering all of this and how life was back then. Man. What a day. Will never forget
