1:28 Triangle 1:48 half butterfly sweep 2:08 armlock 2:52 same side saddle 3:36 far side saddle 4:19 slide under 4:58 controlling far leg 7:31 countering leg sit 8:51 reverse x
Thanks, your focus on far foot control was a good addition to my own knowledge. I noticed he was doing it a lot in my study but hadn't fully understood why? #Leg Spaghetti
Love how you retain the text and graphics during the rolling bits. I think being able to visually see the specific details, movements, and direction really help me see what is going on. Thank you for your top-quality analysis - easily my favorite content creator for grappling related stuff on YT.
Bill Gates that's true brother, that's why in MMA, successful bjj guys stick with the fundamentals instead of going for berimbolos and fancy stuff lol but for grappling competition works so good!!!
not only is the content of the videos getting better, but the production is getting better. you and people like yourself are changing the art, my friend
Solid video as always bro. For what it's worth, munchie actually used a really nice reverse x entry on tonon at kasai...underrated how dangerous and good that position is for entering heel hooks
Another great advantage of using reverse x is that it automatically redirects the passer to the other passing side. Lo kept stepping over the leg so that he could knee slice to his strong side (right knee through the guard) but the reverse x redirected him to the weak side to pass. Lovely bit of trickery. And it also exposed the left leg to leg locks. 🎭
Thx scout, This video is especially handy for me, since i use that knee shield a lot, i do it mainly because of the space it affords me. And the fact that i can sweep so easily and quickly with it
You are the MAN !!!!!! I was just about to ask you for a Craig John break down.... You are like a Mind Reader .... lol.... keep it up my brother.... Big Fan
Probably the best grappling analysis online right now, thanks so much for creating and sharing! My bad luck that I got outvoted and voice lost to music (of the kind I really do not enjoy)...
I'm relatively new to Jiu Jitsu but this guy has quickly become one of my favorite grapplers to watch. A lot of this stuff here flies over my head in real time (and I have to admit it's still a lot to take in) but you break it down extremely well! This stuff is way beyond me when it comes to implementing into my own game as of now, but stuff like this makes me super pumped to get better and learn all about the intricacies of the sport.
Great stuff as always bjjscout! We were working reverse x just yesterday; looks like we have some new details and pathways to work on next week. Thanks!!
Just started this for a hobby a few months ago after putting it off for almost 3 years. Boy do I wish I'd started back then, this is like learning music theory all over again. This might aswell have been written in hieroglyphs
There is so much useful information at such a fast pace I'm going to have to watch this like 20 times to figure out what's happening. I still prefer a breakdown like this over highlights and hype.
BJJScout its amazing to see grapplers like Craig Jones arising. This stuff proves that BJJ became really universal and have a lot to improve and not a brazilian dead end street.
I wonder how he would perform against a refined Mendes style passer. I saw Keenan passed his guard, but I didn't see him playing the shin trap/catcher's stance style pass with the same precision I remember seeing out of the Mendes Bros.
i feel like the position for number 1 was obviously something any of the top guys in the jiu jitsu game could have. i just feel like gordon ryan just won the matches an example of this is when he refused to tap when craig had him in the brutal arm bar like the only thing that separated them in that match when it came to the part of submission which ends everything was Gordon’s grit to take considerable damage and have the ability to finish Craig with a submission where he would have no choice in his ability to keep going
Awesome job, as always bro. Would you be able to add a video showing how Jones defends the heal hooks while using his knee shield? I love the knee shield, but against higher level practitioners, I get caught in heal hooks off of it. I don't always want to go butterfly hook to defend it. Are there any other ways?
I have no idea what this "reverse x" is. I just see people's feet, don't know who's, an ass and other body parts and green and yellow arrows. I also have this on 1/2 speed. You should rate your vids yellow to black.. I'm blue, so maybe this is too advanced. Kinda fun to try though. Acuually, would be great if you demonstrated these in between the live footage.
Jujitsu is taking over . Give it a lil more time and it over takes boxing sports as far as being more watched and interest. It blows boxing away . Jujitsu sport and MMA which jujitsu heavily influence will win out . I rather watch this Craig Jones study then football or LeBron james hopping ass running back and forth. I mean international jujitsu is taking over. Like if you agree
They should merge MMA, BJJ, and Kickboxing. One round BJJ, one MMA, one kickboxing. That way leg lock specialists get punched in the face for their bs game.

i love your videos scout, i was wondering if you could maybe do one on caio terra some day when you get a chance?
Thx Scott! Curious to know if Craig guard will work on Pena or Galvao?
1:28 Triangle
1:48 half butterfly sweep
2:08 armlock
2:52 same side saddle
3:36 far side saddle
4:19 slide under
4:58 controlling far leg
7:31 countering leg sit
8:51 reverse x
I love this dual approach (voice & text)
Ok......and you felt the need to express some way you feel to me bcs??...
and i don't care who he is
Good luck with that (thumbs up).....
What voice?
So happy when you got to Reverse X. My favourite part of his game. Cheers.
Ayrshire Grappler Yo,man your channel's awesome too.
thanks for watching!
Cheers.
I saw ur Lo v Craig studies! Nice
Thanks, your focus on far foot control was a good addition to my own knowledge. I noticed he was doing it
a lot in my study but hadn't fully understood why? #Leg Spaghetti
You had me at my BJJ homies brilliant video

Amazing study!! Thanks!!! Craig's game is fascinating!!! I had the chance to take one of his seminars and he gave us so many amazing details!!!
Bill Gates that's true brother, that's why in MMA, successful bjj guys stick with the fundamentals instead of going for berimbolos and fancy stuff lol but for grappling competition works so good!!!
what does MMA have to do with this?
Bill Gates, go fuck with MMA. Many people don't want that brain damage and are happy competing in BJJ.
another great video. i will start to explore controlling the far leg and reverse x. thank you for pointing out these concepts
not only is the content of the videos getting better, but the production is getting better.

Great video and music/voice balance!! keep it up man
Your videos are great!!
If you do a sequence, I like to see a deeper look in to the basics of half guard with knee shield!...
I just keep coming back to this study. So much to perfect.
I have the craig jones dvds, this is a great supplement to them with the analysis from competition footage. Keep up the great work 8/8 gr8 m8.
Glad to see another good ol’ BJJ Study!

Amazing details and the breakdown is simple and very direct. Your art work with the arrows as well help out. Thank you for making these videos.

Do you still train

Lol if you put it off for three years maybe it's not for you
Another masterpiece bjjscout keep the hard work
You are like my second instructor. Thank you for what you guys do.
I love your vidz, post more plz
There is so much useful information at such a fast pace I'm going to have to watch this like 20 times to figure out what's happening. I still prefer a breakdown like this over highlights and hype.
Thank you so much for doing these
BJJScout its amazing to see grapplers like Craig Jones arising. This stuff proves that BJJ became really universal and have a lot to improve and not a brazilian dead end street.
Wtf do you mean by "brazilian dead end street"?
your videos are awesome man
Great job you broke that video down very well so that the average guy can understand
One of ur best breakdowns idk how i missed this video untill now. Craig jones is really underrated love his game though.
I wonder how he would perform against a refined Mendes style passer. I saw Keenan passed his guard, but I didn't see him playing the shin trap/catcher's stance style pass with the same precision I remember seeing out of the Mendes Bros.
He stifled some of the top passers in the game. That is really saying something.
Also the music @10:52 is just gold. Anyone know which one it is ?!!
Great grappler, great music. Regards from down under.
amazing! good voice/text mix.
This half guard inverting leg entanglement stuff always confuses me. I'm starting to understand the normal knee shield half guard stuff though
I have been working on it since white belt and i am amazed on how it leads to a lot of options/attacks.
Great stuff! Nice work!👍🏻🥋
great video, amazing study
Great details
Whats the song you used on this vid? I like all of it
Gold mine. As always
Love it you used both 👏👏👏 SSET🦅
Love the music and robocop effects
What shorts is CJ wearing at 4:05?
At 3:33 it looks more like a knee-bar instead of a heel hook....eventhough the way he grabbed Darragh 's foot shows a heelhook style of grab
i feel like the position for number 1 was obviously something any of the top guys in the jiu jitsu game could have. i just feel like gordon ryan just won the matches an example of this is when he refused to tap when craig had him in the brutal arm bar like the only thing that separated them in that match when it came to the part of submission which ends everything was Gordon’s grit to take considerable damage and have the ability to finish Craig with a submission where he would have no choice in his ability to keep going
What are these two songs called? Thanks
Congrats for your work! You have my thumb up :D
where can I find the craig jones dvd
Great study keep it up
i love these videos
Amazing 👏🏽👏🏽
Please please do a study on slx

Great Video
Where you at?
Sick video
Can you please do a study on ribeiro's fireman's carry from bottom side control?
(Preferably no gi)
Hi you can watch my funk roll study...
Are there any more REVIEWs of Craig Jones DVD?
There are some, GOOGLE IT!
This is some high level BJJ. Damn
Hey 52 blocks south reposted your Dominic Cruz study, just letting you know
So, the only "passer" to pass his guard that was included in the video is Keenan.... Hmmm.... Evidence is mounting that this channel is run by Keenan.
It's really unfortunate that knee surgeons have made more off Craig Jones than Craig Jones has made off Craig Jones :(
Craig Jones.
Awesome!!
Vem traduzido se eu comprar ?
Can this be as applicable in mma?
Oh my fucking god did I just enter the infomercial matrix Jesus Christ
Can you do a study on passing the guard no gi?
I have some stuff in my Patreon...
He's really good.
Video starts at 1:02
I didnt even know it was possible to more jacked than Alex Jones.
Hello my BJJ homie
learning learning
love it, thanks (y)
used the code to score down under leg attacks !
I can't find you. Said every guy trying to pass. 😆

Z guard works well for Craig Jone because his hips and legs are extremely flexible, not suitable for stiff guys.
Nicholas Meregali study?
Im dropping one this weekend! stay tuned!
i feel like there needs to be a bjj music festival 😂 nothing but rolling and edm
I've spent many of hours looking for these songs, scout scores as good as they breakdown the moves.

You need to do a cm punk vid.
ruclips.net/video/p6xsT9ikBZ8/видео.html
YAY CRAIG JONES IS GREAT!
Voice is better... but sometimes text is great too
❤️❤️❤️❤️
More jacked than alex jones, that was too much for me hahahhahaha
He is strong
I like that the only pass is Keenan, Keenan..
*CRIKEY M8*
Lol I remember when I use to hear no voice
Is he rolling with Chael Sonnen?
Yeah, I think it was an adcc (trial). Finished quick!
That wasn't rolling.

Kid is a G
leg locks are for little girls and cunts. should be head stomped every time you throw one.
Dominick cruz.again
They should merge MMA, BJJ, and Kickboxing. One round BJJ, one MMA, one kickboxing. That way leg lock specialists get punched in the face for their bs game.
Obnoxious Music & Audio - Best with Sound OFF
This music is awful
Too much music. Not enough voice.
P H I liked the music this way personally
Can't please everyone. Just let it go mate
One of the best parts about his style videos is the creative music he chooses. Loved the detail and the music choice, Scout. Keep it up!
